Will this saw cut a nominal 4”? I know it claims to cut a 4x but what is the maximum depth of cut?

Hi Ashley! The maximum cut depth at 90 degrees is 3.688 inches.

The rpm on this saw seem extremely slow. Anyone else experience this?

Keep in mind that, as a radius lengthens, actually velocity at the teeth increases if rate of revolution is constant. Less rpm on larger blade means similar speeds at perimeter of the blade comparing 7 1/4 to 10 1/4.

What's the difference between the spt70wm-22 and the and the m-01

I just got off the phone with Bosch who owns skil and they said there was no difference. I'm thinking the person i talked to didn't really know. But the -01 is about $85 more. I'm thinking it has more Magnesium parts other than the housing to make it that 4 lbs. lighter according to info listed than the -22. Just a guess though. Sometimes product info here is wrong or incomplete.
