What language is the writing on the ring and what is the translation?

It's early Aramaic, but with the artistic liberty and size of it, the letters are either one, several, or none of them. Regardless of how I tried to determine the letters, the translation is gibberish, but may not be in other languages. It looks a bit more similar to Arabic in word structure than Hebrew, but doesn't translate to anything but gibberish in them, either. If it says something, they probably either took too much artistic liberty, forgot that it's written right to left, they used the letters in direct substitute for others in their native language, or all of the above, which basically means only they would really know, unless it really is gibberish, which is my assumption.

What material is the dark background around the seal? Part of it came off when i banged my hand and want to repair it.
