The original keyboard is secured with many, many plastic tab welds! These have to be broken to remove the part. If you are replacing it yourself, just FYI, this replacement doesn't come with anything to replace that, so you will have to come up with a solution for that yourself. Otherwise, it came securely packaged and in good working order.

I ordered this because my keyboard recently broke. The downside is that it was labeled with euro money. But I was afraid during installation because it is a fragile piece of technology.

KUDOSThe best price I could find.As others have mentioned, there are no instruction included, replacement is a very tedious and a lengthy process.Google YouTube to get help.I scheduled a morning for the project but ended up taking the whole day, be sure to document the disassembly and just reverse the order to put the laptop back together, various length screws are used and many different socket types for the cable attachments, all very fragile.Not my first rodeo, I have replaced numerous keyboards but none as involved as the VivoBook keyboard. I think the laptop was designed as a throw-away and not meant to be repaired.On a positive note the process did give me an opportunity to replace the thermal compound on the CPU.The keyboard works great, as one would expect, happy to have my VivoBook working again.

i got this keyboard because the one on my asus broke. when it was installed - which was very difficult - the left and right shift keys didn't work. i wrote this review on the very keyboard i bought broken, and you can see, no capitalization or other things the shift keys do. this was a total ripoff.

Currently typing on this keyboard on my Asus X202E. works flawlessly, but installation is quite involved, you have to break many plastic welds. Takes 3hrs to complete.

worked perfect but the install for this laptop is not a simple one it will require a person that is well advance in laptop repair due to the difficulty of install i have 10 yrs plus in pc repair so i will leave you to think what you should do

The keyboard was fine but I cannot say anything else as they are difficult to install and I could not get the computer to work. I don't think it was the fault of the keyboard.
