I am so glad that I purchased this misting fan. My wife and I were looking for something sturdy that would keep our large deck cool while we have guests over or for just enjoying our morning coffee, and this product was truly worth every penny. It’s been great. I hoped it wouldn’t be loud or leaky, and it wasn’t like that at all. Everyone can easily hear each other around it. We’ve stayed outside on the deck longer than we normally would because of this fan. Even our dogs love it. We’ve enjoyed having it for other uses, too. My daughter wanted to run a lemonade stand in our front yard, so we rolled the fan out and locked it into place while she sold her drinks. The next day, we used it in the front yard so my wife could have a cool spot for garage sale shoppers. There are two controls on the unit — one for the fan and one for the mister. It kept the area cool, even when someone did not want the mist on them. I highly recommend this fan for anyone looking for a portable, reliable, and quiet way to keep an outdoor space cool and comfortable.

This is one of those rare products where (in my opinion) the manufacturer/seller does not convey the true benefits of this fan. First it is not a low pressure mist system. It uses friction (as told to me by the manufacturer) and produces equivalent mist of a 600 to 800 psi system so the mist is far finer than a non pressurized fan. Note that it is not comparable to a ultra high end 3000 psi system but it does not need to be in my opinion. Secondly, this is one serious machine. The motor is I believe industrial grade and it puts out tremendous wind along with distributing the mist very well. it has literally given me back my sundeck. i'm sitting in 93 degrees with 50% humidity very comfortably (with sun shade over top). Its expensive but you will get what you pay for and it definitely does work in humid conditions.

Don’t expect any customer service if you have issues. They are unreachable and when you leave a message they promise to call you back the next morning. 5 messages and 5 mornings later no phone call. Had issues with the drain lines after putting it together. Eventually I took it apart myself without help from the warranty department and figured out the problem. After putting it back together it works great. Mist sprays evenly without dripping all over the place. Also as a side note the assembly instructions are deficient in many ways. Had to use common sense to figure it out. All in all the fan is great but customer service is a complete joke. Amazon should stop selling their products until they can have an accesible customer service department.

This fan works wonders. We use it in Palm Springs to help keep my staffs that works outside in the heat of summer cool. The tank is large enough they are not refilling it every hour. When it cools down at night, they just switch it to fan mode. Very easy to put together and move around.

I ordered three of these units to use at the zoo where I work. One of the three didn't work properly, it was spitting out big drops of water instead of a mist. However, customer service was great! Dave S. was right on top of it and helped me through diagnosing the problem, eventually sending me a new mist plate. This solved the problem completely. The only reason I'm giving this unit 4 stars instead of 5 is due to certain design elements. While the wheels on these units are very good quality and roll quite easily, the design makes them very difficult to move. The pictures in the assembly instruction show handles mounted to the "mast" of the unit that can be grasped when moving. However, this feature is missing from the ones I've seen. I actually don't think it would make much difference anyway as the problem arises when trying to turn. If the tank has much water in it at all it is rather heavy. When you try to turn, instead of the front wheel turning, the entire mast rotates at the joint. The mast is made is such a way that you can adjust the height, which is great. However, you can only tighten the hand screw so tight before it starts to deform the metal to which it is tightening. Then when you try to move/turn, it just wants to rotate at that joint instead of turning the unit. Perhaps a better way to do it would be to have a series of indexing holes with a pin that would allow for adjustment but would still lock the joint in place. Otherwise, from a misting/cooling standpoint, these are great. I especially like the fact that there aren't any of those misting nozzles that get plugged up so easily. These work by pumping water over a rapidly spinning disc that atomizes the water which is then dispersed by the fan blades located behind the mist plate. Excess water flows down into a drain which is directed back into the reservoir tank. If I have the mist volume set on about the halfway point, the tank holds enough water to easily get through the open hours of the zoo. We don't usually turn them on until it hits about 80F so that is about 7 hours. All in all, a good product.

POSITIVES: It arrived in perfect condition and when assembled everything seemed to work as it should. NEGATIVE: I gave it only 3 stars because I do not feel it lives up to the hype, especially for what it cost. It does make a lot of mist near the fan itself, but it does not do a great job getting that mist spread out. It works great for one person sitting in direct line of the fan blast. It does not cover 25 feet. I use it under a pergola I set up in a 10'X10' square. It does not even cover that, let alone 25'. I have tried it several times at all speeds and all mist settings, and both oscillating and steady. Another negative is that you have to constantly screw and unscrew to change between oscillation and steady use. And over the past few days it is clear that you cannot just choose one that will always work best. The oscillation is too wide to be effective in my setup. It should be adjustable so it does not just waste water off to the side. And the longer time it takes while you wait for the fan to swing back to where it hits you seems interminable. The result is feeling hot, then cool, then hot, then cool, etc. I got this fan because I thought it would easily cool 10 feet if it was designed for 25. Also because I wanted a simpler solution than installing a traditional drip mist system. I have decided to keep it, but only because it is 'better than nothing' and I still don't have time to set up a traditional system. Even had I bought at the $100 cheaper price it dropped to right after I ordered mine, my comments would be the same. Overall the engineering/design needs more work.

This is a must have for those who love their deck or porch time the mister is something you can turn off and on

Misting fan was delivered very quickly and was in great condition. It came in 3 boxes that were clearly marked as to what was in each box. It took me 20 minutes to assemble and the instructions were easy to follow. The fan is sturdy and will be perfect for under my awning for parties and outdoor dinners. I like the variable mist control and ease of moving the unit around. I will probably use it on lower settings for dinners and turn it up to max when a lot of people are on the patio. It says it can last up to six hours on 1 fill up. We have a party this weekend so we will see how it goes. I will update the review after this weekend on the run time.
