Classic elegance!
I bought this watch for my husband as an anniversary gift and it has exceeded my expectations! He and I love it. It is very elegant, rather petite and keeps great time. I would absolutely recommend this watch not only for it's workmanship but also as great value for money. It definitely looks like it is worth more than it cost!

disappointed with a fake!
I ordered the watch last week and received it today. It was a fake. It was not authentic as it is described and none of the company information and authenticity card was provided. Instead, there was a cardboard that covered the leather case and said Made in China. Steinhausen is a German company. Also, the sapphire that is supposed to be in the crown is missing! Very disappointed. Amazon should've stated it is not authentic. One of the photos even has the authenticity cards in the listing. Very upset1

Good Looking Watch, Bad Quality
I've had this watch for 2 years now and have had to replace the band 3 times because the pin has fallen out. The glass face has fallen off several times and doesn't properly fit back on. It is a great looking watch, but the quality is very, very poor.

Redundant tachymeter scale
I have ordered this watch and the estimated delivery date has not yet passed so I can't really provide a sensible user rating so I'll just choose a middle rating. There is however something I can't follow about this watch. You'll notice that on the outer edge of the face there is a fixed tachymeter scale but as the watch does not have a second hand the tachymeter feature cannot be used. This leads me to ask "What is the point of the tachymeter scale on this particular watch?" I wonder whether the factory that turns out these faces has one template that they use for this watch and for watches that have a second hand.UPDATE August 7 2013: The watch arrived more-or-less on time and it is an attractive watch however the plastic clip that was supposed to keep the battery from engaging had already been removed or had never been inserted at the point of manufacture. That's poor and leaves one wondering who had tampered with the watch. As someone else before me had wondered I also wonder whether I have been sent someone's watch that had been sent back to the supplier? To make matters worse within the first week of wearing the watch one of the keepers on the band became detached. Not a good start. So after less than a week I'm downgrading my rating of this watch. By the way I have also ordered (not from Amazon) a Seiko SNF672 Cartier look alike for almost the same price as this Steinhausen. Let's hope the quality control at Seiko is better than at Steinhausen.

Nice watch, nice size
I've been buying watches at department stores and thought I'd try something with a better brand name. I like this one. The positives are: 1) The dial is large and easy to read. Now that I'm over 50 I've given up on digital watches that I just can't read without bifocals. 2) The watchband is man's size. I have normal man wrists and it fits. Those department store models are always on the last hole. 3) I'm suprised this wasn't in the description, but it is water resistant, which is something I didn't think about when I ordered it. 4) I like the styling and it is very light and thin. It meets my expectations for thinness. My dislikes: 1) While it says it has more glow in the dark capability, the hands don't glow for long. 2) I wish it had a second hand, but I can live without needing to know time is moving that fast.

A great watch. Mine came with two watchbands.
The Steinhausen is very nice and thin. Mine came with two watchbands -- a very nice surprise.It keeps time very well -- it is accurate over many days of use.

Great!!!
It is very light, with a large face. It is easy to set the date and time--if needed. No batteries to change. The two leather bands (brown and black) can easily be changed (look for small silver stud on bottom and move it). Wish all watches had this feature. I have never seen this before - not even on Rolex watches. Well worth the money.

Don't waste your money! That's all I have to say. Very disappointed at the quality and condition of this watch.
