Lonely Planet Munich, Bavaria & the Black Forest (Regional Guide)

Great helpful advice about many little things you would not think of before heading to Germany I am glad it arrived quickly and I got lots of advice before our amazing trip to Bavaria . Highly recommended

For someone who has not been to Germany, especially Munich and Bavaria, this book is quite informative. It tells you about customs, places to see, restaurants, hotels to use and much more. I have been to Germany many times and I even found information I didn't know.

Followed the books recomendations and traveled all over Bavaria!

I'm giving this 5 stars because it was helpful in preparing for my recent trip to southern Germany. It is not a very easy book to read, and I found myself reading it over again a few times to figure stuff out. Its difficult to connect the places on the map to the descriptions, but it has a lot of information and hidden gems. The restaurant recommendations were not that good. We did better with Trip Adviser and Google. If you have time to decipher this book, it is packed full of helpful stuff. We had an amazing trip.

Many pages impossible to read due to misprinting. Those that I *could* read were unhelpful. Whoever wrote this doesn't seem to like Bavaria or the Black Forest much.

We used this book July 2016 on our trip through southern Europe and found it very informative!

Good basic guide to what is best to be seen in the area however did not seem to be comprehensive enough. Finding that I still have to go online to get information about areas near to major towns.

The book was pretty good for main towns in the area - topical, relevant information and with good pictures, maps and illustrations. But for smaller towns it was a bit lacking in my view.

Did just the job - helpful tips, good maps, it's a keeper.
