I think this is an excellent idea and I'm very grateful for PetNotify.... I feel like this is so much more practical that getting your pet microchipped. My sister has half of her dogs microchipped and I guess I just feel like it's putting the animal through something that can only be helpful IF the person who locates your missing dog is 1) knowledable enough 2) concerned and emphatic enough 3) willing to take the animal in to be checked for a microchip in the first place. If the person is in a hurry, isnt knowledgeable about microchips, or just doesnt care to put that much effort into someone else's pet - then you're kind of screwed. This is a solution that's literally as easy as looking at the pets tag which I would presume someone would do anyway if they came across a missing pet. The app lets you inform the temporary caretaker of the animal, all about your loved one from the diet that can eat, the medications they may be on (so the caretaker knows what to or not to feed them from a medical standpoint) as we as what to watch for if there's any immediate concerns, etc ... It also lets you add additional contacts in case you can't be reached right away... I also added in that my dog, Zaeda, is actually very sweet until it comes to young children because her experience with them is very limited... She didn't meet a toddler until she was over 10 yrs old and now that we've been staying at my sister's with her young, very energetic son - my dog has "scary" experiences of these little people (loud noises but primarily unexpected loud noises, accidentally stepping on her tail, pulling ears, etc.. .). It's good to let someone know that to keep everyone safe.

I like this tag because it’s lighter weight on the kitty. Yet note before purchasing that the ‘tracking’ software requires a monthly fee. (And it doesn’t necessarily track your pet for that matter) If you go to your local pet shop you can get a custom tag with tracking for like 35 bucks and not have to deal with money fees.. Still they tend to be fairly clunky and this tag comes with some pretty cool features. It allows me to give alot of pet information to anyone who finds the pet including other emergency contacts. My only bother complaint is that the app isn’t available in my region even though I live in the United States, so going on the the direct website/ intellitag every time i want view the pet vault is a bit annoying.

The tag is well made and the information is clearly printed. I was not aware there is a $1.66 monthly subscription fee as it is not clearly stated. After receiving the pet tag, I was sent an email message indicating that I had not registered and to go to their website to do so. When I went to their website to register the tag, Norton's 360 identified their registration website as a known risk and not to continue.
