Won't work right more than 10 mins. at a time.
I hate to leave a bad review. I've been waiting a LONG TIME to buy this thing, but I must say I am VERY dissapointed right now. Iv'e been using it for just under two days. It's basically put together right out of the box. When I first balanced it correctly ( viewed the tutorial videos ) with my Canon 60 D, things worked really well. I took it outside and had my son walk up and down the sidewalk as I followed. Everything went great for about 7 or 8 mins, then it started going 'crazy', literally spinning out of control. I took the camera off. Found the software online and tired to set it to ' Factory', but the USB socket won't hold a cord, and so I couldn't attach it to my computer. And the phone app didn't see this thing's Bluetooth signal, so again no software access. I really want this thing to work, but I didn't sign up for this. Have read a few similar problems. Right now my plan is to return it for a full refund and try the Moza Air. If I get my issues solved in-between time, though, I'll make another post - TH

Risky Investment. Complicated Software.
EDIT: ** The Pilotfly Team responded very quickly and assisted me in getting the gimbal to work with my lens/body combination. They sent me a PID file, and a short video explaining the yaw axis issue I was having which instantly redeemed this item for me. I still haven't been able to get its bluetooth functionality to work, but at least now I know it's a usable device for my purposes. The version I received was not signed for a warranty, which is extremely disconcerting. Because of this, I may still return the H2 and order directly from the manufacturer, as I can't afford for this item to break down without warning. **Cannot connect via Bluetooth. Cannot connect to Mac. Had to use Windows OS. The A7rII & A7sII + 24-240mm lens PID profile settings do not work. The calibration does not help at all after initial balancing. Must be gimbal scientist (not an understatement) to operate "SimpleBGC" software without research assistance. Any button saying "AUTO" will immediately send the camera flying around in chaos once initialized. I also tried the slightly lighter A7sII + Distagon 35mm F1.4 set up with no success. This product, as well as all other gimbals utilizing this "SimpleBGC" software needs to have a well-defined, extensive library of PID parameters available for download before any are worth purchasing. Admittedly, the H2 gimbal's physical design is superb, but no one wanting to remain sane will use these things without a relatively painless method of set up. Also, for whatever reason the serial PID data was corrupted and I could not backup factory settings as instructed. I have no idea what Marcus Oswald was thinking when he released these with the warranty being voidable just by not backing up profiles that don't exist on the Pilotfly website. It should NOT be that easy to software break a gimbal.I do not recommend this product to anyone who isn't an engineer. Until they can effectively fix the software issues, I will have to use another system.

AWESOME Gimbal!
This is an awesome gimbal and give incredible results! The caveat for all of these types of gimbals is in using the software.Thankfully, the folks at Pilotfly are very quick to give you a guiding hand—including them tuning the gimbal through a remote computer. Also, the Pilotfly facebook page is very active and they constantly update it with settings and tips.I have both the single grip and the double grip. Both work really well and make all of my productions look cinematic. This gimbal definitely separates me from most of my competition out there.

Not Ready For Prime Time
I REALLY wanted this to work. The wait time to even have it shipped was terrible. It took over a month BUT, it's a new item so no problem. I dealt. Now, first, I'm adding the extra star for Amazon because they're return policy was very easy and user friendly. The device however, not so user friendly. I balanced a 70d with a Tokina 11-16 on it. That part went well. I balanced it pretty easily. Then I turned it on. The horizon was off so I went into the software (as recommended) to adjust it. They also recommended a firmware update. Well, the firmware update bricked it. Just laid there like a limp sock. Tried downgrading, no luck. Back in the box and back to Amazon it went. Thank you Amazon for being so easy to deal with. I like the idea of the device and once they get a handle on the software and support, I do think it could be cool. Right now? Not so much

Smooth video baby
I researched several of the most popular gimbals of late 2016 and chose the Pilotfly H2 because of three reasons: 1) it's the lightest gimbal available that will hold my 3.5 lbs of gear including a Sony 6300 + Sony 10-18mm lens + wireless mic, LED light, and Small Rig cage, 2) it has three encoders which allow me to reposition the camera without adjusting balancing knobs and 3) they have superb instructional videos.I'm new to film making but old to photography, so I wanted my gear lightweight and small enough to travel without breaking my back. This little guy exceeded that request. My back hasn't hurt—nor my arms. I held it vblogging for an hour. The videos made it easy to setup on the first try. Highly recommended. I bought this tripod to help it stand up on it's own in the field: Pedco UltraPod II Lightweight Camera Tripod

Holds our Canon 6D’s better than the rest!
It was a struggle finding one with the payload we were looking for. So happy with this though! Definitely a learning curve to using it.

Mirrorless users this is a MUST for your kit.
I’ve been using the H2 for almost a year now. I absolutely love the reliability of this gimbal. My a7riii and Zeiss Batis balances flawlessly on the pilot fly. It’s such a light setup, which is crucial for getting shots of sports. Holding longer than 2hrs you start to feel it, but just switch hands! Another thing I love about it is the ease of low mode to normal mode. Any Movi or Ronin is too large and clunky for the type of shooting that I do. The customer service is also amazing. I had a chance to meet the engineers and owners at NAB and they really listen to the users and what we need to get our shots.
