Product Description When a solar eclipse and earthquakes simultaneously occur throughout the Roman Empire, Emperor Tiberius calls upon Tito Valerio Tauro (Daniele Liotti), a prominent Roman investigator, to seek out the proposed cause... an alleged resurrection of a Jewish rabbi... a powerful mystery that could bring down an empire. .com In The Final Inquiry, a crisis of faith leads the Roman emperor Tiberius to send a special envoy to Jerusalem to find out the truth: Did Jesus of Nazareth truly rise from the dead? Of course, the truth proves dangerous, as wily Pontius Pilate (Hristo Shopov, who played the same role in Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ) wants to keep anything to do with Jesus under wraps. The envoy (hunky Italian actor Daniele Liotti) doubts that the followers of Jesus are anything but frauds until he falls in love with a beautiful young woman named Tabitha (Monica Cruz, Penelope's just as lovely little sister) who opens his eyes to another world. The Final Inquiry spruces up a classic story of finding faith by mixing in moments straight out of Mission: Impossible and CSI, but such elements will be inoffensive to Christians and entertaining to secular viewers. More problematic is the dubbing (a bit hard to understand at times and woefully hammy at others) and the often clumsy fight scenes. The producers try to class up the joint by casting F. Murray Abraham (Amadeus) as Tabitha's father and Max von Sydow (The Seventh Seal, Hannah and Her Sisters), but it's actually Dolph Lundgren (Rocky IV) as the envoy's German slave who makes the strongest impression--his mammoth frame and melancholy eyes suit the Biblical milieu perfectly. --Bret FetzerStills from The Final Inquiry Daniele Liotti (as Tito Valerio Tauro) Monica Cruz (as Tabitha) Vincenzo Bocciarelli (as Caligola)

Dolph Lungren steals the show!!
The Final Inquiry was released in 2006 in Italy. It is only recently being released in the U.S. The cast, which includes Hristo Shopov as Pontius Pilate, Daniele Lioti as Tito Valerio (Lungren's master) Monica Cruz as Tabitha, and Vincenzo Bocciarelli as Caligola is convincing and very interesting to watch. However, Dolph Lungren (Brixos) once again steals the spotlight as a Hun turned into a Roman slave after he is captured. The movie begins when an earthquake and solar eclips occur at the same time. Tito Valerio (Romes greatest general) is sent to investigate a possibe ressurection of Jesus Christ.Dolph is 50 (at the time of this review in 2008). He still has youthful looks with a cut and muscular physique. His massive frame makes him the perfect candidate for the role of Brixos. It is refresshing to see Lungren explore different types of acting roles with different types of images.Don't miss this movie!! The cast is great, the script is great, and my man Dolph Lungren is amazing!! I rate this movie with 5 stars!!

Christianity Light-- but you can let kids watch it.
As Bible movies go, this wasn't bad at all. There weren't too many glaring historical mistakes in it, for one thing, if you don't count Tabitha's mother's being stoned to death. Adultery in Judaism was punished by stoning, but it involved both of the parties to the sin. Max Von Sydow's Nordic accent was at least a change from the British accents we have gotten used to Hollywood using for that role. Too bad Dolph Lundgren didn't get more action in the film and I'm really not sure at all why he had to be killed off, but at least he looked Germanic. It's kind of a light Christian film, but that's not all bad; at least we were spared the blood and gore of the Crucifixion, which by this time everyone knows more than they ever wanted to know about after "Passion of the Christ." This film is reverent enough to suit everyone, and something you could let most of the children in your family see. There is no historical basis for the Emperor Tiberius (who really was killed by his nephew Caligula) ordering an investigation of why the sky turned dark on a specific day, but hey, it's good enough to hang the plot on.

Ooh no, the Fight scenes 🙈...
It started out sooooo bad, 😆 Then, it got good 🤦🏽😅. So many cringe moments, lol. Few, technical errors with Jewish laws. Fight scenes were the worst but, the cast was exceptionally! Not to mention the acting and storyline was surprisingly good, 💁🏽♂️. I went back 2 years in my purches history to write this review. My intention was to stop ✋ people from making the buy, b4 the movie was even over, 😆. Now that the flick is finished, I've changed my mind, lolI give this movie a 5.4 out of 10 It was entertaining with a good ending 👍. If you're hungry for a decent Jesus spin-off (and a good laugh, this is sufficient, 😆. I Dont think id rewatch it again on purpose. Tho, if i caught it mid way on TV, (say 4 to 5 years from now) i wouldn't turn it off, 🤣.

The final Inquiry
Another great Catholic movie starring Daniele Liotti. (Recall to mind the magnificent "Saint Anthony" This apparent fiction (I'm no historian, but I've never heard this story before, and I would think I would have, having been a devoted Catholic all my life...) supposes what happened politically after the death of Jesus, and how conversions might have begun. Liotti plays Tauro, a Roman warrior who is commissioned by the Emperor to travel in secret to Jerusalem to disprove the rumored resurrection of Christ. He faces all manner of danger from many sides, but in the end discovers the truth that will be the ruin of the Roman empire - the rise of Christianity. The acting was great and the story engaging.

Nice film, portrays "full Gospel"
This film reminds the viewer of the book of Acts, but it is NOT Biblically accurate if that's what you're looking for. This is definitely a creative adaptation. It does portray healing and the miraculous. It comes from a Catholic background which becomes apparent with some of the imagery and choices of names (Tabitha) for example for the woman. We are not at all Catholic but still find the movie a nice addition to our collection.

Liked this movie. Quite entertaining. I would have liked it better had it been geared more towards biblical contents.
