I do my own nails. I normally use builder gel or rubber gel to keep my nails hard and strong. But sometimes I feel like just taking off all the products and strengthening my natural nails. I especially wanted to let them grow out some so that I could get a nicer oval shape before I did a manicure. However, my nails are naturally thin and brittle. I've tried other nail strengtheners from other brands, but they never worked quite as well. Also some of them called for reapplication daily or twice daily. Some other ones you have to buy multiple formulas and move up to the next formula once you get results. That's way too inconvenient. This one bottle did everything and really strengthened my nails. It goes on clear. I did two applications and let them dry completely, which only took like 5 minutes at most. I reapplied it once after over a week just to add some of that shine back since it does flake and peel off over time. After 1 day I noticed that my nails weren't bending as easily as they normally would. The real moment of realization came nearly 2 weeks after that initial application. I accidentally banged my index nail hard against a desk at work. Any other time (without gel products) this would have definitely broken my nail off. But it didn't. Didn't hurt at all. And when I went to inspect my nail, I saw a small hairline crack. But that was it. It didn't go all the way through my nail. It never snagged on anything. All I could see was a thin white line. Now, about 3 weeks later, my nails grew out enough and I did a full manicure about 2 weeks ago. I can still see that crack on the underside of my nail, but it has not given me any problems. I would definitely buy again.

I purchased this clear Sally Hansen nail polish because it’s known for strengthening nails and has a strong reputation for quality. Unfortunately, this particular bottle consistently caused my nails to darken after application, which was disappointing. After looking into it further, I learned that formula instability - especially in older bottles - can cause color changes. Heat from the nail bed may accelerate chemical reactions in aged products, leading to unexpected shifts in color, such as clear or pink tones turning orange or brown. Since my return window had already closed, I wasn’t able to exchange it and will need to purchase a replacement. My recommendation to other buyers is to check the manufacturing date before using the product. You can verify cosmetic production dates through sites like CheckFresh.com to ensure you’re not using an older bottle. Overall, I still believe Sally Hansen makes reliable, high-quality products. This experience appears to be an isolated issue and doesn’t change my overall positive opinion of the brand.

I think this is my favorite clear anything. Dries pretty fast and stays glossy and kind of repairs itself if put on messy.

This has become an essential for me. I’m blessed with fast growing nails but they can get brittle fast, since I wash my hands so much. This stuff keeps my nails from breaking. I’ve noticed a serious difference in how long and strong they can grow before breaking. Actually was close to just trimming them because of how long they had gotten, but I went and broke one anyway so had to cut them anyway :P

I used the product on bare nails, with no topcoat. Colorless, but shiny. After a month of use my nails are slightly stronger. The product chips easily. On other hand, very difficult to remove the product with nail polish remover -- have to physically strip/peel the nails to remove the product, which probably isn't healthy for my nails. Not as hydrating as I had expected.

I love this product. I’ve been wearing polish for most of my life and when I have a problem with my nails I always know who to turn to! Sally Hansen is a sure thing. Affordable products that work! My nails were peeling and splitting from too much abuse. I couldn’t believe how bad they looked when I removed my polish. I had to file most of them down because the splits were that bad. I knew I needed help beyond a strengthener so I checked Sally Hansen and found this “7 in one!” I find it easy to apply and very forgiving if you make a mistake. Its thickness shouldn’t fool you. It will fill in those divots from your peeled nails and give your nails a smooth flat finish. It dries fairly fast and on some nails that are really damaged, I apply a second coat. The ingredients really do condition your nails! Let it dry thoroughly then apply one or two coats of polish, followed by using “7 in One” as a top coat of protection. It took a little over two weeks for me to see a dramatic improvement in my nails. Now polishing my nails is easy again. No dips, splits, hollows or peeling polish. Plus, the top coat will smooth out your color and help to hide any imperfections in your polishing job. The trick is to dry each layer separately and thoroughly before going to the next layer.
