Thought it was a great book, just to help out explaining a few things to my curious son. It helped a lot.

Absolutely love this book
Absolutely love this book. My daughter does too. For all the people who want to be "knit picky" about whats in or what is NOT in the book, c'mon this book is not meant to raise your child YOU ARE!! This book is geared towards opening that conversation between you and your kids. Its not a "YOU MUST BE LIKE THIS" book its more of a guideline as to what is generally the norm. This book might be a representation of the authors core values if you don't like it return as it may not adhere to yours.

Perfect for inquisitive age 10
This was for my 10 yr old as in scotland they are getting sex ed at 10! It explains the basics before he was taught. He happily shared it with me and discussed without embarrassed moments! Highly recommended

Just enough info for preschooler
I bought this when my 5 year old started asking where babies come from. I bought another age appropriate title as well, but this one seemed to satisfy her more. Being able to visualize where the sperm and egg meet and where the baby grows helped her understand what she needs to at this point. We use the correct terms for body parts and I think it’s important for children to understand their own bodies, so I really appreciated the simple honesty in the book. There are drawings of reproductive organs and unclothed bodies at different ages to show how we change as we grow, but I don’t find it inappropriate (she sees herself in the mirror, and her baby brother, after all). A great intro to how our bodies work and how babies grow without getting into the mechanics of it.
