Got these for a great discounted price. The red foam took much longer to get back into shape so I had to spray with water and dry in the sun. Stuck them to the inside of my closet walls and now I have a perfect small studio in my closet. Tested it out, can’t hear all the traffic outside my apartment anymore. Happy with the purchase, will buy more when they’re on sale again.

I am an international audio engineer, working with many clients around the world on professional home studio, live band rooms, recording rooms. As I first inspect the client's environment, I estimate how many panels and surface area they need to cover the space. Then as always, I order online on Amazon and I come across this product for acoustic sound absorbing foam. I like how it came in multiple colours so I was able to help the client to also add a bit of creative design work. As the product arrive, it is vacuum sealed but opening and giving it a day the foam restore back to normal size (add water) if still flat it will instantly speed up the restoration. Had the red black combination and gray black combination in two different scenarios.

I like this product. It was a little more difficult to install than I though. The adhesive is a bit flimsy and sticks to the fingers as you try to add it onto the foam and comes rips easily when trying to correct it. The foam is also a bit flimsy. When trying to remove a piece of adhesive if you've done a mistake, it rips the foam apart in that area. However, when I got the hand of it and was able to install the foam to the area where the noise came from, I found that it does cut out a lot of the sounds from the outside. It's not perfect but for the money it's a good buy and it is serving its purpose.

They are not perfect when you first unwrap them, wash them in warm lightly soaped water. and rinse, gently squeeze out excess water and let air dry do not wring out as the foam will tear. Some buyers have had trouble adhering them to a surface, to fix this issue you have to prime the back surface of the squares. First what you need to do is mix a 50/50 solution of white PVA glue with water, brush this mixture over the back surface of the foam squares, do not soak the surface, just apply enough to cover the entire surface area, let dry over night. You can now stick the foam squares to any surface by using double sided tape or glue. I have only notice a slight drop in deflected sound, I still have too many hard surfaces for sounds to deflect off of. I will need to add more Foam squares to get the results that I am looking for. With this purchase I am on the right road.

For the cost this was about as much as what I would expect. I'm a little disappointed at some of the cuts and how varied they are in size. If anybody has OCD I strongly advise you go for a more professional and refined product. The foam is dense and the pyramids are well done but the actual shape of all the cuts I received in my 24 pack varied quite a bit making for not the most Square project, lucky for me I have been mounting these tiles behind my webcam.
