LIFE SAVER
I hands down give these revision books the biggest round of applause as they allowed me to get an 8 in GCSE edexcel history. Most of the topics on the gcse edexcel history course do not have any resources online, however this book provides you with all the key notes you need for this topic and all the questions needed to practice. These revision guide books for history allowed me to get from a 5 to an 8 in history.

Good revision book with fully worked exam questions
Previously, I bought the Target Grade 5 book for the same topic to practice exam type questions with my son but it didn't have fully worked answers to all the questions. This book has got full answers, which is definitely an advantage. The revision part of the book is concise (one page per topic) with tables and bullet points to remind learners of what they've learned from the textbook from the same publisher (Pearson). The only thing is the revision book contains some information I don't remember seeing in the textbook, for example the shooting down of the South Korean passenger plane in 1983, which was "the lowest point of the Second Cold War" and lots of other little details, so the Revision Guide in not 100% based on the textbook. It is well structured and clearly laid out with different sections on each page, though I'm not crazy about the font they used - I think they wanted to emulate a neat handwriting. On the other hand I like the slightly off white, matte paper inside, which is easy to write on.
