SRAM 5.1 DOT Hydraulic Brake Fluid 4oz

It works, I need it to bleed the sram brake. It is expensive but it seems like it contain the lubricant that typical brake oil does not have

This is the exact brake oil SRAM recommends for their hydraulic bike brakes. The small bottle seems more than enough to do several brake bleeds.

Could you use another DOT 5.1 fluid that is cheaper? Probably. That said. I like my SRAM Code RSC brakes exactly the way they performed when new. They came with SRAM fluid and performed flawlessly, so it’s SRAM fluid that I trust for preventative maintenance. I’m sure there are other reputable brands out there, but I’ve always used SRAM with good results.

This is an overpriced small bottle of hydraulic fluid. It supposedly can withstand higher temperatures than DOT 3 or 4. This stuff will damage some surfaces like paint or some metals. Also be careful it will absorb moisture and if you put it into your system after contamination it will cause corrosion.
