For the price this is a tremendous piece of equipment.The bottom is aluminum and slightly domed so not perfect for a totally flat stove, HOWEVER it works just fine on my coil ring stove.The lid fits quite well. The steel seems very resilient.Surprisingly very stick resistant.I LEFT THIS ON A HOT BURNER OVERNIGHT WITH WATER THAT EVAPORATED AND IT DID NOT WARP AT ALL ON A COIL STOVE.I love this for doing masala goat stew because you can do all the frying in one pan.Even Calphalon doesn't do that...

Easily my favorite go to for everything! It works well on the stove top, or throw it in the oven. It is also very forgiving if you don't wash it right away - even that 'stuck on' mess will wash right out!!!

It's ok. The lid is a little thinner than I would like. The real problem is that it is listed as 10 QT, it is not. It is 8 liter or 8.45 QT. I would not have bought it if I knew.Update: After using this a few times both stovetop and in the oven, I have upgraded to 4 stars. Even heating and the handles stayed cool enough to handle and strain.
