Vintage Genuine Leather iPad/Tablet/tab/Kindle Satchel Cross Body Shoulder Messenger Bag

I am giving it 5 stars because it deserves it. At the time I bought it, it was $34.99 then the day it arrived it dropped to $27.99, arg!. It is real leather and so it is very stiff, it will take time for it to relax and that takes use. I have a medical condition that causes me to bleed easy and it is very difficult to stop so I have to carry a med bag, and that is what I use this for. It held all of my medical supplies and still had a tiny about of stretch left to widen out, so it has the room. As for craftsmanship it is a very good quality of leatherwork and I am glad I bought it. As for value for money, yes at $34.99 it was worth it, but to see such a large price drop on the day it was delivered was a bit heart breaking. I like the bag and have used a lot of med bags and some have been similar to this, and I was happy with them, and I am happy with this one as well. I can recommend it, more so at the lower price.

Its not "great" but it's not totally crap. It is what one might expect for under $40 bucks. Cheap leather and hardware. The common complaint regarding this case, I too confirm it is indeed a complaint, is the smell. Its not the leather that smells, but the cheap dyed burlap that is used as a liner material. The liner, reeks enough to require some means of relief! I used a industrial fabric refresher and followed up with several dryer sheets in hope it will disapate sooner then later! The other substantial issue with the lining is, it's so overly dyed. So much so that even the small amount of fabric refresher mist, I used to kill the smell, caused the burlap to bleed the colour substantially! I ended up stuffing the entire case with rolls of toilet paper in hopes it would absorb the majority of the bleed through and help it retain a functional shape. The leather is very very cheap. It's like a veneer. Its thin and glued. I hung the case on a chair back with a fan blasting it hoping by morning there would be a marked improvement in odor & bleeding. After 12 hrs, the smell was better, but not eliminated. I will give it a few more rounds of spray, &toilet paper stuffing and see if there's a marked improvement. Its a VERY LOW DOLLAR product, and that is what you get, Low Dollar Quality. The hardware will not last long. The quality of the hardware is ZERO in a scale of 1-10. The hardware is thin and easily bendable with just my thumb. Might be great as a 'prop' but as a day to day pack, it will not stand up to more then the gentless touch. I know I'm not 'gentle' with any leather pack.

Great bag for the price! Very nice quality and will age beautifully. My only complaint is the shoulder strap. Seems this bag was designed to be worn on your left hand side. The strap is two leather straps that have been riveted to rings on either side of the bag of two different lengths that join by a buckle. If you wear it on your right hand side, that buckle sits right on your collarbone. I'll probably have the strap replaced with one that clips onto the rings instead of being riveted on.

When I first received it the leather was a very boring brown, not like the pictures at all. I was pretty disappointed. After I applied some neatsfoot oil and just started using it regularly it started to develop some character and looks really good. I've gotten quite a few compliments on it.

It is a good sturdy leather bag. The buckles and zippers work great on it . It is easy to wear, but the shoulder strap pad won't stay in place. It is very stiff but will soften over time. And the color is slightly lighter than is shown in the picture. Overall good value for what I paid

I've had this for about 2 1/2 years and use it daily. Held up nice and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good shoulder bag with plenty of room that isn't huge.
