Will this let me know if an outlet is properly grounded?  Newb I know, sorry! And thanks

The tester has indicater lights that will detect if the outlet is wired correctly.  If the outlet is not grounded the tester will indicate that.When you say properly, there is interpretations on that.  I have seen the ground wires twisted together and some  wire nutted.

Question 2

Will it help me? 3 outdoor outlets don't work & don't know why. Nothing on elec panel indicates those locations. Don't want 2 waste $ on service call.

The picture shows a device without a GFCI trip button. Is it on the backside? The HomeDepot picture (same model#) shows the button on the same side as the indicator light decoder key.

The trip button IS in the other side (nearest the blades).  There are light decoder labels on both sides as the unit can be read from either side depending on the orientation of the receptacle.

Question 4

The breaker for my master bedroom keeps tripping.  Will this help me find out which outlet is causing this?

Hi Joe! The tester will help determine if your receptacles plugs are wired correctly. This can help in troubling shooting the electrical issue in the master bedroom. What action are you doing in the master bedroom that is triggering the breaker to trip? Blow Dryer, Flat Iron?
