How do you know its working in there? I bought a lens cleaner from wal mart and it took it in, then said 'Check CD' and then was just blank...it came with no directions so I thought of getting a different one...that one I guess wasnt for a Car CD player..?

I have used the Maxell CD-340 on my computers' CD/DVD drives and it performs on windows 7 home premium and ubuntu 12.04. First it plays instructions which tell you to play band 2 it was called "cleaning" on Windows Media Player for at least 20-sec.I had first tried the Maxell disk cleaner from walmart and could not get either computer to recognize it. I kept getting messages telling me to insert a disk even though the Maxell disk was inserted.I hope this helps.Ficus

Does this help if the video is working but the sound is not? Everything is plugged in right just no sound...

Doubtful...once a laser reader can pick up the content on the disc, it wouldn't discriminate between sound and visual signals per se. Sounds like a simple connection issue to me.

Just open your DVD player same as you would to play a dvd , then insert the dvd cleaner disc press play, sit back and enjoy when it’s over you can stop it or let it go as long as you wish
