The two volumes are well produced, the first being in a ring binder type volume with the second volume a normal glued-in pages book. I do not find much of a difference in using one over the other. Some may have their preferences. I learned with a teacher and the Noad method, Solo Guitar, which is excellent for beginners to advanced. I suggest that if you do not know how to read music you start with that as it teaches you how to read music as you progress whereas the Sagreras method assumes that you already know how to read music. There are no tabs, so for those who cannot read music it will be useless. But if you can, then the music in these volumes in wonderful, enchanting, harmonious, challenging, always interesting, and perfect for teaching technique and interpretation. Almost every study is one you want to memorise and keep in your repertoire but since that is an impossibility, you have to accept that once you have learned and understood a piece, there is no point in trying to memorise it or you will never get through the method. So I learn each study until I think I have it down and can play it as intended, and if I really like it, make a note to come back to it once I have finished the entire method, and they add them to my repertoire. So, these volumes are not only a wonderful method to learn with, they also contain a very rich repertoire, a treasury, of classical guitar music,

Musically this is one of my favourite guitar method books, The compositions are lovely to play and hear
