Is this okay if I treated my hair (was dirty blonde, now medium-no bleach used) a few months ago and is healthy now?

I have used this perm but would recommend Olgilvie for Permed or Color treated hair which I prefer to use cause I have bleached blonde hair from being out in the summer sun. As long as there has been a month since other treatments on your hair were used this Normal Perm should be fine. As I said I have used this exact perm on my hair and Olgilvie is a pro when it comes to home perms and when you follow the instructions exactly the perms turn out great.

How often is it safe to use this? Like how long do people go inbetween perms usually ?

It depends. If you have short hair, your hair grows a half inch a month so if you cut the perm off you cam probably perm every 3 months. I have below shoulder length hair so I perm about every 9-12 months. Just remember perm over permed hair will be dry and crunchy. Gauge your own hair, but this perm is the best I have found.

It is a strong ammonia smell - make sure you cover your nose and mouth when using. The perm comes out very nicely.

Damaged but it does its job

This is a really great product. Unlike similar options on the market, it has a noticeably milder ammonia smell, which is a big plus. Unfortunately, it seems the package was not handled with care during delivery — it arrived significantly damaged, causing the "After Balm" to spill.

Does the job

They stopped producing the product that I always your for my perm and was looking for something similar, and stumbled across this one and it looked the best out of everything on Amazon . I tried it and it did the job got my perm done but it just wasn’t as strong as the previous one that I used . I would recommend it though since there’s nothing better on Amazon for now
