As I've aged (70), heartburn and GERD have increased to the point they were waking me up practically every night. I was getting desperate. Long story short, one night, while waiting for the bicarb to take effect, I found a website that suggested d-limonene. Out of sheer desperation, I ordered a bottle. It arrived late on Sunday, but I waited until Monday to start using it.Here's the key--take d-limonene in the morning with breakfast, and I don't mean just a cup of coffee. If you take this with real food--toast, bagel, cereal, eggs and bacon, etc.--it should not aggravate your heartburn. DO NOT take it with your last meal of the day before bed, or you can easily have heartburn or GERD. The first few days, you might burp it back a couple of hours later (like onions), but this will subside over time.Within my first week of taking d-limonene, my heartburn and GERD virtually disappeared. I am sleeping through the night without having to live on famotidine.Be aware, not all natural remedies work for everyone. This is one that has worked for me, so far. It was worth a try, and I'm glad I did.

I do not usually write reviews but I have to give a shout out for this product. I was diagnosed with acid reflux disease several years ago and have been on PPI's for many years off and on and have had GERD surgery. I read about this supplement in a magazine and wanted to give it a try. It's only been a few days but I can tell a big difference, especially in the morning - I'm not clearing my throat as much and the acid is staying down. Hopefully this product will help get me off PPI's in the future.

I saw a video about d-limonene products and this brand was given. This video was not made by Jarrow however since taking this product I have not had any problems acid reflux. I was taking 4 pills a day for acid reflux and still having issues and with this 1 time in the morning and no other problems. Highly recommended.
