It makes my wheelchair so much better!
I got this for my Drive Cruiser III Wheelchair because it's what was recommended on the manufacture's website. I got it for after surgery since the rigid back chair put all my weight on my crotch and tailbone and I'd just had surgery in that area so that wasn't going to do.My able bodied elderly father was able to install this for me in under 10 minutes with no directions (not sure if any came with it as he'd never have read them anyway) which included both taking off the old back and adding the new one. It was really easy for me to adjust on my own with the hidden away soft velcro straps.I like that they're hidden because it gives it a neat look. I also like it because I have exposed Velcro elsewhere on my chair that catches on all my lace skirts and some of my leggings and ends up damaging or ruining them.... so it's nice that this piece was well thought out enough that it doesn't do that. The pocket is just barely big enough that with some practice and clever packing I'm now able to stick my two folded up Drive canes and a looped up bike cable I carry to prevent theft when I'm out of my chair on my crutches. (I live in an urban area with a lot of stairs and use my chair for longer times out and about.)It's comfortable, it doesn't get too hot, and fairly easy to wipe clean. It really should be a standard pre-installed option with Drive chairs.... it's that much of an improvement comfort and function wise. I still use it even though I haven't had any surgery that would mandate me using it. I highly recommend it if you're using a straight backed wheelchair.

Fits great and can be adjusted as you like
When the back of my sons wheelchair needed replacing his insurance wouldn't cover it. I searched Amazon and found this. Fits great and can be adjusted as you like. Much less expensive than buying from the medical supply nearby.

Where are the directions?
The back rest is supportive and comfortable once you get it on the chair. That is the rub. It comes with no instructions. I looked on the Drive website and could not find any. Finally went to YouTube and was able to put the back rest on the chair.

Totally Inadequate Support
This came without any instructions for proper installation and adjustment. There are no instructions to be found at the Drive website as well. Most every video there is promotional and offers no visual help for installing or adjusting anything. They are mostly talk throughs with a bing-bang and its done where you can't actually see what was done. I did see a customer question concerning installation and the answer was send us your email address and we will send you instructions. To me, that is absolutely dismal support. It's a shame too because the Drive Cruiser III is an excellent wheelchair. My wife received a $6,000 custom chair, Medicare approved and after trying it, wanted her Cruiser III back, saying it was much more comfortable. From my standpoint, there many other features that made it superior to the custom chair and at a fraction of the cost. Her only complaint was the seat back caused her back pain. This replacement was an attempt to fix that, and though I eventually figured out how to install it, it simply could not be adjusted to provide her with comfort and some degree of lateral movement.
