It Bites
This is my first negative product review and return to Amazon. Very disappointed because it took awhile to get here and I was looking forward to it. By the way, Amazon delivery times seem a lot slower than in the past, when I could get items in a few days. Now it's weeks. I couldn't contact the seller because there was no contact number. I wish I had the opportunity to read the scores of negative reviews about the app (MIPC) before purchasing this product, as they were all about WIFI connectivity issues (yes, I installed it connected to the router first). The only "support" is a YouTube video (with no sound), which assumes everything will go as planned. No troubleshooting help, no website, no nothing. There is nothing wrong with my WIFI as I have a strong connection.The camera connected for about five minutes and then went "offline." The users manual only instructs how to connect and not how to actually use the camera for pan/tilt, etc. You are supposed to learn all that from the YouTube video with no sound. But you can't even get to that point if it won't connect. Fortunately, the Amazon rep was very helpful in suggesting other cameras, but they all seem the same to me as I have done a lot of research, and the reviews are all mixed. It seems these cameras are still in their infancy, and for reliability I would have to pay an extra monthly fee to the alarm co. to get some quality cameras and support. I will keep looking, and if I find a decent product, I will post it. I would suggest that Amazon not do business with such sketchy sellers who are unreachable and unknown. Don't know why an American company can't make these cameras, as the manual was also terribly translated English, which seems to be common for these cameras no matter who makes them. Yes, I would pay more for an American or European camera.
