Literally the best jars for sourdough starters and canning. They are very durable, easy to close with simplicity. They are a little pricey, but it’s worth every penny. They store well in cabinet and in the refrigerator. I love these so much that I will be a long time customer.

I have started on my pickling and these jars are perfect for it. I like the wide mouth which makes it easier to use!

I’m in my sourdough era, and had previously placed my sourdough starter in a smaller jar I received in a sourdough kit that was just way too small. An influencer inspired me to look into these Weck jars, and I’m certainly glad I did. The functionality of these jars are just SO much better. They’re tall, have a wide mouth on them, and they’re just so perfect for my sourdough starter home. I don’t personally seal the jars, I just use the lid over it and it works so well for my needs. These jars have exceptional quality, they’re heavy, the glass lid itself has some weight to it. They’re really easy to clean and I regularly swap my starter between these two jars only. Definitely a requirement if you’re in your sourdough era! (Pictured - before and after jar of what came with my kit versus the Weck jar - ahhhh so much bigger and better.)

Beautiful canning jars that are perfect for my sourdough starter. The glass is nice and stout and is exactly what I was hoping for.

Love these! Use them for salsa and sourdough discard. I prefer them over my ball jars since they’re all glass and I don’t have to deal with rusty lids.

Great for pickling, I prefer this wide mouth to mason jars and honestly I think the seal is better and easier to release

I didn’t know one could love a jar, but here I am: irrevocably loving these jars! The flexibility of them from being covered with just the lid, no rubber band for breath ability but still protecting your goods—to being able to step up the air-tightness a degree by adding in the rubber band, or going full Fort Knox and using the lid, band, and clips for total air tight security—these jars do it all! 10/10 recommend.
