Jillian Michaels Hot Body, Healthy Mommy is the perfect workout DVD for getting your body back after having a baby. When your doctor has cleared you for exercise and you're ready to get back into fitness, you will get fantastic results with this DVD. Jillian worked with renowned pregnancy fitness expert Andrea Orbeck to provide you with three incredibly effective workouts, each focusing on a different section of your body an upper body workout that focuses on arms, chest and back, a lower body workout that tones the buns and thighs, and a core-strengthening workout. Jillian understands the hectic schedule of a busy, on-the-go mom, which is why she has built the workouts to be approximately 20 minutes each. Jillian offers basic and advanced modifications for every single move and gives special instructions to moms who've had a C-section or diastasis recti. As you get stronger and master the modifiers, then move on to the advanced versions to progress. So, if you're ready to get a fit, strong, healthy body back after baby and your doctor has cleared you for exercise, Hot Body, Healthy Mommy is the perfect solution for you. Review: Prefect for postpartum period. - I'm a huge fan of Jillian Michaels workout dvds. I've used ripped in 30 to lose my baby weight from my first child and continued to use it when I needed to lose some fat. I love her yoga meltdown it's what hot me into yoga. I also used a few others in between going to the gym to switch things up...now that I've just had my second baby I wanted to get back to working out sooner and bought this DVD for the post partum period. So far I think it's amazing and a great prep workout to transition back into the swing of things. Low impact, still got my heart pumping and left me sweating. 20 mins is perfect while my baby naps and my 5 yr old has fun doing the exercises with me. Absolutely recommend! Review: Love me some Jillian! - Being an avid Jillian Michael DVD junkie, this was a must have for after my son was born. I have done most of Jillian's DVDs, 30 day shred being my favorite, so I was familiar with most of the moves. Keep in mind that this DVD does not have any HIIT training in it and nothing with impact, which for new mommies is great. I did follow my doctors orders and waited 6 weeks.....but after starting this DVD, I felt I could have starting light work outs a few weeks earlier. This DVD has a good pace to it, not grueling, not intense, but steady with a lot of modified moves. I would definitely recommend it. In fact, my father has a bad back and can't lift weights or do HIIT training - I gave him this DVD and told him to try it out because I didn't think it would be painful to him.....of course, I had to tell him to ignore her repetative reminders about the importance of post baby keegal exercises! HAHAHA!

Hope for getting back in shape!
I love this DVD! I am 1 year post-delivery and it has taken me a little while to get back into fitness. I had a c-section so was nervous about getting back into exercise and not sure what I should/shouldn't be doing. I like that this DVD takes into account the post-natal woman's body and makes good modifications. I feel challenged but also SAFE doing this. Before my pregnancy I was in good shape and liked to do other Jillian Michaels DVDs and workouts at the gym. The style of this is great for me because it has a similar feel but no impact. I am very out of shape since I basically haven't exercised for 2 years and it is the perfect level of challenge. I definitely think it will go a long way to building up my strength so I can continue to work on my fitness. Another great thing about these workouts is although they are all targeted a specific body part (legs, upper body, core) each workout is also a cardio workout (at least if you are not in top shape!) and gets some other body parts in there as well.

A good, helpful video for postpartum
I did another really slow and gentle postpartum workout before doing this one (by Erin O'Brien). I myself didn't buy this video until I was 12 month postpartum and seeking something to help me get back into working out but not too intense where I might hurt myself. The workouts in this video were not ridiculously hard for me, though after a week of doing them every other day I felt a bit of a difference. There are three workouts: Upper Body, Core, and Lower Body. Each workout is only 20 minutes. The videos are intended to eventually do each workout twice in a week (so 6 days a week). I can see this being a really good build up to more intense workouts.

Wish I had this DVD years ago!!
I love Jillian Michaels, she gets right to the point and has a great sense of humor too! Her videos are encouraging and motivating, and this one for postpartum moms is a 👏🏻 MUST HAVE 👏🏻 !!! Seriously this is the only workout I want to do postpartum after baby #3 and I wish I had it YEARS AGO. If you want a workout that’ll be gentle on your healing body, but also motivate you enough to work out - and actually give you results, GET THIS DVD. You will not regret it at all. This dvd makes working out FUN. Yeah my whole body feels like jelly from the workouts, but I know if I stick with it I’ll be back to having my pre-baby body once again! And isn’t that what we want as new moms??? Seriously buy this.

Good, short and effective
I’ve always enjoyed and gotten good results from Jillian’s videos and this one does not disappoint. I felt timid getting back to working out post c-section but this is a good, short, low impact work out that’s easy to squeeze in yet still makes you sweat. Each 20 minute segment focuses on upper body, lower body or core but you still gives you mostly a whole body work out.

Great workout, but not c section or diastasis appropriate
I am 11 weeks post c section with slight diastasis recti. This is a great postpartum workout, however NOT c section or diastasis appropriate. It includes many planking positions as well as crunches and push ups, all of which hurt both conditions. I am still enjoying the workout, however having adapt on my own.

Good even for moms that have never really worked out before
I love Jillian. As a young new first time mom before I got pregnant I workout but let's be honest not much. I wasn't in great shape but I was always at a health weight. And that's what mattered to new. But when I got prego I gained to much weight in the last 10 weeks and had medical issues with my pregnancy. Fast forward to now. I'm a breastfeeding mama which has caused my eating to be out of control I've been yoyoing weight for months and haven't lost any weight since giving birth. I'm 6 months pp now and have decided it's time to get back into my pregnancy weight for myself my child's health and because I'm getting married in 6 months. I found theses to be very challenging and got my heart rate up when I put forth my full effort. For someone who hates working out and was never an avid fitness person I still found these doable I felt like I really a accomplished a workout and I love that they are short in time and perfect length to do when the baby is napping. Looking forward to keeping these up and will continue to do them until I feeling ready to move on
