DuPont Teflon Snow and Ice Repellant, 10-Ounce

I was having trouble with the chute on my single-stage Wheelhorse snowblower clogging up with wet snow. I had to take small bites of snow in order for it to stay clear, and it made my snow clearing job so much slower. Ordered the Dupont Snow and ice repellent from Amazon, sprayed it on the shoot and auger as directed and was able to test it last week. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! I was able to use the full width of the snowblower and move 3 times as much snow in the same amount of time after one application. I plan on applying it before every use, so it may get a little pricey, but so far so good. Reminds me of the Xmas Vacation movie when Clark applied the "Secret" Lubricant to the saucer sled...LOL. Highly recommended!

Product arrived on time and well packaged. I used it on two snow blowers and one shovel. It worked well on all three and was especially appreciated on the shovel as the next snowfall was 14 inches of heavy wet snow. The snow slid off of that shovel nicely and a few storms later it is still doing so. Thus it does have lasting power. Now on the 5 horsepower snow blower that I use the most the product has lasted fairly well on the discharge chute. It did not last as well on the auger. It lasted for only a couple of uses and then snow started to collect. BUT...As long as the chute remained slick it still discharged the snow well with ZERO clogs. UPDATE 01/27 - Corrected wording above from "a couple of passes" to "a couple of uses." Also to be fair about the auger....As I mentioned that was 14 inches of fresh wet heavy snow PLUS it had been warm so the snow was initially melting from the bottom up until the ground cooled. I also used the machine both times to clean the street so that the city plow would not fill my driveway with snow. When clearing the street you also have the water at curbside to deal with. Thus for the auger to start to collect snow on or after the second use...I think that had to be expected given how hard I worked both machines. And again...ZERO clogs at the discharge chute which was always a problem before. Thus I remain very pleased and just coated both machines again yesterday. Overall I am very pleased with the product and would recommend and buy again.

So I grabbed this DuPont Snow and Ice Repellant Spray hoping it would be like a force field against winter’s icy wrath. Spoiler: it sort of works. Like, if snow and ice had feelings, maybe they’d hesitate a bit before settling on whatever you sprayed. Maybe. It’s like the spray whispers, “Hey snow, maybe find somewhere else to chill?” But snow is snow — stubborn, relentless, and not great at taking hints. The ice? It might loosen up a bit, but it’s not running for the hills anytime soon. Does it make things easier to clean? A little. Does it stop snow and ice dead in their tracks? Nah, more like slows them down at a casual stroll pace. In conclusion: If you want a magical, instant ice exile, keep dreaming. But if you want something that gives winter the slightest nudge toward being less annoying, this spray’s your buddy.

This works remarkably well, much better than any of the variety of sprays I've used previously. I sprayed when everything was "clean," but in very cold conditions, and it made the job so much easier. No clogs, no "snowplowing," it just felt like the 'blower cut cleanly through not-very deep snow. I assume it will do as well when the snow is deep. Regretting not buying this long ago!

This stuff is the real deal. Virtually no snow build up of snow or ice in the discharge chute or the auger housing after couple hours of blowing powdery to hard packed snow plow plowed snow. Worked way better than any other lubricant that you would have thought about using.

I've used it through and since the winter of 2022 in upstate Connecticut, where we get a lot of wet snow and ice. My driveway is 150ft long and 15ft wide, slightly uphill to the entrance. I also tilt the blower up a bit and blow a 300ft long and 4ft wide path in my back lawn for my pups to run and do their business. Let me be accurate and specific in my review: I applied it to a clean, dry, fresh surface of a new Honda HSS928ATD snowblower. I coated the entire inside of the scoop, the augers, the impeller, and the entire discharge chute, taking care to cover the entire surface. It dried for a month before the first major snowfall. The coating worked very well in ensuring that the blower never clogged through the winter of 2022. My snowblower is stored outside, exposed to the elements. For 2023, I washed and dried the snowblower before applying the coating again, just as before. I had a one incident of clogging and the lesson learnt was that one has to moderate the forward pace of the blower according to the weight and wetness of the snow. I slowed down a little bit and there was nary a repeat clog. Repeated the treatment and no clogs at all in the winter 2024. Crossing my fingers for 2025 and I bought another four bottles.

Product really works!! I use it for the door handles on my car. However, it is extremely overpriced on Amazon - it's almost a third of the cost at your local ACE Hardware store!!

For keeping the chute from clogging on a snowblower I have tried a butt load of products. Put one application and was able to remove the snow from a very large driveway and the side walker around a cul-de-sac without the chute clogging. To date that has never happened, was totally impressed.

Not the results I expected for the expense. Worked on plastic shovels but not well on the interior of your snowblower. Will use what i have but cannot reorder
