Durability is too early to say but no doubt very strong and easy installation initially. Lexus original part will cost you double. I love the dark tone on SS rods.

I purchased the same brand for myliftgate and was very satisfied with the product. They don't come with instructions, but there are plenty of available installation instructions online. Basically, take something to support the hood, use a medium sized screwdriver to remove the C shaped retainer rings, and the strut simply pops off by pulling it off the ball and sockett attachment points. The installation is very quick and easy once you see how to do it. Some people recommend cleaning off the ball mount and applying some white lithium grease to it. If you don't have that, I would just leave the existing factory grease as is. It don't come with any grease. I hope this was helpful. Highly recommend product. The hood stays up in its fully opened position with no issues.

I replaced the liftgate hatch struts on my 2013 RX 350. Following the instructions and being very careful it took me about an hour (I’m a DIY, not a mechanic). It was straight forward and it’s worked perfectly for 5 months now. Good quality, great price.
