CAMELBAK Podium Chill, Bottiglia Unisex – Adulto

Water stay cold(ish)
Someone in these reviews shared a trick to freeze a partially-full bottle of water, and top it up before heading outside, and I think that's brilliant and works great. Ice cubes are obviously an option, too, but with their higher surface area, cubes are meant to melt fast and get water cold as quickly as possible. What you really want is just to prevent the water from getting warmer, and a single big ice cube is better for that. As an added bonus, it won't rattle around. Using this trick I found water to still be refreshingly cool after being out about an hour on the bike, on a sunny day, around ~25C. Setting aside temp maintenance and just grading it as a bottle, I have no complaints. I don't notice any funny taste imparted on the water, it doesn't leak, and it's easy enough to squirt water out of it. Also FYI the lock function is not meant to be used when out riding on the bike, you don't have to struggle to twist it with your teeth, or with one hand (and good luck if you tried, you practically need a wrench to twist the thing). As long as you don't squeeze the bottle nothing will come out of it. I think the lock function is more oriented towards putting the bottle in a backpack, gym bag, etc., which is pointless for me because I only ever load it onto a bike's bottle cage, but it doesn't hurt, I guess.
