So what happens when someone catches you with a bottle? Is that more or less embarrassing than stinking up the bathroom?

Not embarrassing at all; I keep one on my desk to use in my office trash can and in the lobby of the office for a faint refreshing smell (because sometimes co-workers bring their pets in after hours when they work late and you can smell animal skin when I get in during the morning).  Someone was coming out of the bathroom and caught a whiff of this (I do not over-spray) and wanted to know what smelled so faintly lovely. I showed her the bottle and told her where she could purchase it locally for a discount. I already know that she will be purchasing some for herself. The one I used in the office was called "Juniper Woods", I have "Mint Vanilla" for the car (at least I guess that is what it is called because it was totally new); and I have a small "Original" scent and a "Lavender Vanilla" at home. At least I won't have to put a towel under the door anymore when the boys go to the bathroom (Lol)!

what about low water toilets? does it work in them too?

It does NOT WORK in my low flow toilet. I have the water level as high as it will go. This only if there is nothing breaking through the surface, which only happens about 10% of the time in my particular toilet.

Accepted Answer

Dumping essential oil (which they caution not to ingest) down the sewer into the oceans doesn't seem cruelty-free, does it? And, no, waste treatment plants don't turn oil into water or water into wine.
