does it have lye in it?

Hi Jeremy, Lye by definition is Sodium Hydroxide, That is the technical name for it. Lye is used in all natural soap making. Its the combination of the Lye and oils that make soap, If you do not have lye you can't make soap. Here are a couple of short examples to help you understand Lye a bit better and why it is used in soap making:So how exactly does it work? If you had high school chemistry, you may remember that when you mix a base with an acid, you form a neutral. This is exactly what happens in the soap making reaction. The base (lye) mixes with the acid (oil or fat) to form a neutral (the soap). the main benefit of homemade lye soap, and the reason people love it so much, is actually because of its soothing properties, courtesy of the glycerin that forms during the oil and lye reaction. A lot of people are misinformed about lye. I like to compare natural soap to common table salt. Salt is Sodium and Chlorine, chemically written NaCl. Both are extremely dangerous elements by themselves but when combined they make something safe and we need it to live!So lye by itself is not safe, but soap made from lye is safe and neutral. In fact, if it was not made with lye, it is not true soap. You may notice products that say "moisture bar" "body bar" or some other kind of "bar". This is because the FDA does not allow a product to be called "soap" unless it is actually soap. These other "look a like" products are usually detergents.Natural soaps used to be made with oils and lye in nature. In the old days lye was made by dripping water through ash and added to fats. Soap has come a long way but back then and today, you can't get any soap without lye. Most items available in the store are actually detergents that are far more harsh than soap and strip away moisture. Natural soap is easier on the skin and hair.The easiest way to explain lye in soap is that a small amount of lye is necessary to start a reaction in a large amount of oil. This reaction transforms the oil into soap. There is no lye left in the soap when the reaction is complete. I Hope this answers your question.

does it get rid of dark mark?

In my experience it has lighten my dark spots just a little (you could see a difference but it's not huge), looks better than before but I'm almost done with the first bar of soap and my elbows and knees still have dark spots...I'm guessing if you want to see results it's going to take a few more bar of soaps so it's a waste if you're looking for a faster outcome

Are these turmeric soap Paraben and sulphate free?

Can you use this along with a retinol?

You probably can depending on your skin type. it can leave your skin very dry, so use your moisturizer right after. It’s a great product overall

Not for sensitive skin

Good facial wash for those who does not have sensitive skin. It was okay but then after days of using this I notice my face breakout a little , maybe because this is a soap. For those who have sensitive skin stick to a soap free facial wash.

Read the reviews because I'm SO SCARED to put things on my face. Currently, I'm in a stressful situation, so my face on both sides of my face (chin area) broke out in deep painful pimples or something. They cleared up on my left side, kinda quick, initially. Then the right side had an outbreak, but deeper and PAINFUL cyst-like acne. It was taking FOREVER to heal. I used an antiseptic to take the pain away. Then I started reading the reviews for this soap. THIS SOAP! WOW! The few dark spots left on the left side, gon in a few days after starting this soap. The right side is clearing, EVERYDAY! My face is beautifully clear, everywhere else and even toned from this soap. I haven't begun to use this bar up. I can tell this bar of soap will last a while. It's pretty big and it lathers, nice and quick. There's no scent, too me. Also, I leave it on while I'm washing my cotton cloth out, only. I'm using it only on my face with the cotton cloth. People let me just say this, if it burns, it's left on too long. Be careful because anything can mess you up if not used properly. I'll be buying this from now on. I love this soap! Thanks for the great reviews, everyone.

It does smell like turmeric but once you lather it on yourself and washed it off it doesn't leave turmeric smell which is pretty good.

Gold gold, these products comes with results. Gets rid of acne and dark spots, it even your skin tone and makes your skin feel smooth. It does dry my skin, has good lather and get rid of dirt. Xoxo
