ClairolNatural Instincts Demi-Permanent Hair Dye, 9 Light Blonde Hair Color, 3 Count

I love this hair color. I have been using it for 15 years. It doesn't damage my hair, it is easy to apply, and I love the color. I hope Clairol never stops making it!

I have been coloring my hair with permanent hair color for over 40 years and each year, I noticed my hair was getting thinner, dryer, weaker and hopelessly frizzy. I assumed that it was just part of getting older. I loved going to the salon and getting my color and highlights, but the cost got so expensive, and my hair continued to look worse, so I decided to try something new. I wanted to use a gentler process to cover my grays and maybe save my hair from breaking off completely. I decided to try Clairol Natural instincts because it did not have any ammonia or peroxide. The smell is very mild and I had no scalp irritation at all. My natural hair color is medium brown with about 30 percent gray. I experimented with a few colors and finally came up with my own combination of Medium Cool Blonde (8A) and Light Blonde (9). The photos I have attached show my hair 2 years ago in January of 2022 and my hair as of 5/8/24. As you can see, I had very thin, fine hair with dead, dried out ends. After 2 years of using only Clairol Natural Instincts (and a lot of trims), I look like have twice the amount of hair and as you can see, the ends look great. I highly recommend this product.

This temporary color works great. I have used natural instincts for 10 years, about every one to one and a half months, and it works great to cover gray and maintain my blond hair. As I aged, my blond got darker and this color blond keeps it right where I was when I was in my teens and 20’s. I keep it on about 10 minutes longer on the gray and on my roots, then add it to the rest of my hair for another 10 minutes. It makes my hair so soft and manageable after every time I use it. I love this product! The great thing about this product, if the color you put on is not quite right, it washes out in about 1-2 months and you can try another color.

Never thought I would have a problem with a replacement when buying 3. All three boxes looked OK when the product arrived. Two months after the purchase, ready to use the hair color, I opened the sealed box and saw that the #2 tube had a leak from under the cap. Also, the color was brown, not it's usual color... Couldn't be used.Amazon does not replace defective items after a certain number of days! Called Clairol. Their customer service was closed at 3 pm my time, since they are in NY.
