Nylabone Advanced Oral Care Liquid Breath Freshener, 16-Ounce

I was skeptical because of some of the other reviews. At first my dog sniffed it a bit and was pretty hesitant. Eventually she drank some and loved it! We put it in all of her water now! Its good because it kills bacteria, which is good for dogs who have raw meat diets! Any dog would benefit from this and some really enjoy the taste!

I've been using this in conjunction with a similar but flavorless Arm & Hammer brand liquid. I wanted to add something minty and boost effectiveness. After about a month I definitely am seeing a gradual yet noticeable difference in my pit mix's tartar level. She is about 6 and has never had an oral hygiene/care routine, so I'm especially impressed. She has moderately thick brown buildup, especially on her canines and on one side so far it is drastically reduced and the other side is coming along not too far behind. As far as breath freshness it is definitely nice right after she drinks it. I'm sure as the tartar continues to dissolve her breath will improve. It's not garbage can level, but could use some help for sure.I anticipate further positive results as time goes by. I also started using Vet's Best enzymatic toothpaste on her a couple of days ago and she seems to like it as much as can be expected. I think all of these things combined are a good idea. I will definitely update this review at the end of the year.The scent is not overpowering, but is very lovely and minty. I use it every day in the amount directed which is minimal compared to the Arm & Hammer. The bottle is only about a quarter gone after almost a month. Both dogs drink it without any hesitation and it has not upset their stomachs at all. The mini Aussie is 13 and has very thick almost calcified looking plaque and does not like me to look too closely at her teeth, which makes results a bit more difficult to determine with her. I'm sure it will just take more time given the severity.

I’ve been using this for my dogs and cats. They don’t seem to mind the taste of it when added to their water. My one dog tends to have very stinky breath, and I have noticed a significant change in it since using this.

As always talk to your vet if you have concerns with your pets teeth! I started using this hoping it would help both my older small dogs with tarter. The smaller 9 year old (8 lb) dog doesn’t drink as often as the 13 year old (16 lb) dog does. It doesn’t seem to work well on the 9 year old. The 13 year old drinks more often and i have actually noticed a difference in the tarter on her teeth. Their breath is still stinky but the older ones teeth do look better. I was kind of surprised it worked as well as it does. I’m debating on buying again however (again) I did notice a difference in the one dog.
