Difficult to find the exact flavor profile, and lumps are hard to break up
Tasting the powder gives a mild strawberry flavor, so I used 18 grams to flavor meringue kisses. That was an error. The kisses were way too strongly flavored. Next batch I will use only 12 grams to moderate the flavor. On the other hand, 10 grams stirred into a big dollop of plain Greek yogurt has a mild flavor. The lesson is that a fingertipโs taste does not predict the overall impact. The powder came in big, hard chunks. I tried whacking the lumps using a spoon and then tried a sifter, but neither broke the clumps up. What worked is a motorized coffee grinder which I use for hard spices. It ground the lumps to a fine powder, which I mixed thoroughly with sugar before adding it to the meringue. That worked ok. The meringues formed good stiff peaks and baked normally. Once I achieve the flavor profile I am aiming for, these will be successful.

Tsstes good but...
This product tastes delicious but I will say this there is no way that this is 100% strawberries this product is adulterated with sugar how do I know that I can taste it and it's dangerous to sell something if diabetics buy it thinking they're getting something with just fruit this product has an overwhelming taste over the strawberries it taste like sugar it has a good taste I'm not saying it isn't but there's just no way somebody else commented that it would take a lot of strawberries to make that much powder well that's because this powder I believe is adulterated in fact I'm almost positive The taste is too sweet natural strawberries when they're dehydrated have a sort of a tart taste the only reason I know that because I do it I dehydrate them

Yummy smoothies
As it is powdered I was able to make delicious at home smoothies without a noisy blender. It ended up coming out as good as a Boba tea mixture. Price and texture wise I used evaporated milk. For the small containers of evaporated milk I used about half a container in the end with a quarter of the container in the beginning. You can heat the water with an element if you are like a third of the planet. It tasted good both warm and chilled afterwards. The initial mix in the bottom of the cup, with a cup being 16 ounces is:A quarter a container of evaporated milk4 tablespoons of powdered strawberriesOne scoop of vanilla whey protein and one and half cups of hot waterMix the above together until the mixture is smoothPut in another quarter of the evaporated milkDecide if you want the mixture hot or cold and add water or ice accordingly fill to near the top and enjoy

Tastes great, color is brownish
The quality of the product is great and the flavor is spot on. It's nice to have on hand to add some extra flavor to smoothies or drinks, or sprinkle on top of yogurt.I have purchased other freeze dried strawberries and the color was still very pink. I needed this for a cake, but it turned the frosting brown instead of pink and look un appetizing. (do a test run for color first, even though I knew it would not be pink once I opened it).I am not disappointed in the product quality or flavor, just be aware that it is not pink in color in case you were hoping it was like I did.I store this in my freezer tightly wrapped. I find that it keeps it from becoming a hard mass over time in the pantry.

Best Strawberry powder out there.
I've used a different SB powder. When I mixed it with water, it never thickened, this product does, which tells me its whole fruit. The other one tasted like cooked SB, this is much fresher tasting. And the other stuff, their nutrition label didn't match up with what it should be for whole Strawberrries, this one does. Its got all the fiber, and while it used to clump, they've fixed that problem.Using freeze dried vegetable and fruit powders, as long as they are from whole fruit and vegetable and no juice, are a great way of getting in those extras veggies. I used a variety of them and make a daily smoothie. I make fresh Beet, Kale and Orange juice (about a cup total) and add a tablespoon of the SB and another of Blueberry powder. Its great tasting and the SB has an anti-inflammatory effect on the gut. Its a great way to feed you biome. Fresh of course is better, but when you can only eat so much, these powders are a great way to get in those extra fruits and veggies. One trick I've learned, always rehydrate the powders with water first. Sometimes the powders will clump when you mix them, a good trick is to mix the dry powders together. They are less likely to clump with other powders than they are with themselves.
