No there are no other thing added. I used it on my Venus fly trap which is very sensitive to fertilizer and it did just fine.

Sure but a paper towel will do fine for just germination. Mix top soil and mushroom soil or chicken litter to up ph level most common way50/50

The smell of burning peat is quite unique. Folks used to dry it out and burn it (like a log) for heat. It smelled pretty amazing but I don't think that it would be good for meat.

I have two new rose plants, will this be helpful for them?

It depends. If you have sandy soil that loses moisture quickly, dig your planting hole about three times larger than you ordinarily would. Mix peat moss into the soil you removed, about 50/50. If you have heavy, compact soil, also dig the larger hole. Mix that soil 1/3 soil, 1/3 peat moss, 1/3 perlite. Make sure to dig the hole deep enough to have a good foot of modified soil beneath and around the roots. Pack down firmly. After a few days, gently pack a little more.

Excellent product for plantings requiring an acidic pH

Excellent Canadian sphagnum peat for plants needing an acidic pH. I use it for growing carnivorous plants and trailing arbutus. The texture is a fine ground sphagnum peat and mixes readily with perlite and other soil amenments. Nice large sized bag, just wish it were available as a 2-3 cubic foot bag!

Super Canadian Sphagnum Peatmoss

ich benütze das Spaghnum Peat Moss für das Kultivieren von Carnivoren. Speziell Sämlinge und kleinere Anzuchten gedeihen hier wunderbar. Die Wurzelbildung ist hiermit phänomenal üppig. Die Pflanzen wachsen kerngesund heran. Die Verarbeitung des sehr feinen dunklen Peat Moss ist hierbei sehr einfach. Einfach das sehr feine Peat Moss mit Regen,- oder Osmosewasser vermischen wie sie es brauchen. Ich benütze das Produkt schon mehrere Jahre. Lieferzeit ca. 2,5 Wochen. Kann das Produkt uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen. Ah ja man kann es natürlich als Bodenverbesserer für alle Pflanzen benützen! Dann einfach 1:1 mit Blumenerde usw. vermischen.
