Q: would this be useful for cutting wood? i'm looking to invest on either a stationary band saw or portable. i already have the dewalt 20v batteries

I just bought this saw and married it to a SWAG mounting kit and uses it as a wood working bandsaw. I put on a 10/14TPI blade. It works great. It also works just as well cutting metal. Good luck.

It can cut whatever you get with blades that are designed to cut whatever you want to cut that would fit this beautiful, powerful and versatile machine.

No it does not lock on. Just Off

Negative ghost rider, this is a bare tool. B at the end of a model indicates bare tool. M indicate tool with battery.
