This product is excellent added to ANY hot cereal. I don't add any sweeteners to hot cereal, I add spices instead (Ceylon cinnamon, and/or allspice, nutmeg). This shredded coconut adds flavor and natural sweeteners. Don't have to use as much spice to enhance flavor of oatmeal or grits or whatever. This one is gonna sound odd, but try it if you dare. I sometimes scramble or fry eggs in the morning and place the eggs on top of toasted bread. I tried putting a fine layer of shredded coconut on top of the freshly toasted bread, then a slice of cheese on top of the coconut. When finished, the eggs go on top of that. It's an awesome blend of flavors, very different. I'm going to keep experimenting, adding to different cooked foods. Just ordered another 2 pounds. I never liked coconut in the past. I love it now. Shredded.

I love this brand of coconut shreds. Very fine shavings and great in smoothies. The flavor is perfectly natural and tastes like coconut. No flavor loss like in other brands that have been very bland. This brand is not over dried. Still has some moisture content. Super pleased with this Organic coconut and glad I ordered two sets of the double bag order. Definitely will order again and will keep doing so, unless the quality changes.While I am not a vegan or vegetarian and have the common sense never to abuse my digestive system like that, this is vegan approved. Also gluten free for people who are attempting to avoid gluten. Also not me. I love coconut is all. Bet this would be amazing in baking.

Loved the fact that is was finely shredded. It blends well in smoothies and candy recipes. I have only used this product once since i just purchased it but i would purchase it again.

Excellent quality and value, and many helpful recipes included. I made the Sesame Indian Rice with Coconut, and it's delicious. I'm going to try the coconut milk and cream recipes, and several others. I like that this good-value quantity is in four separate bags, which allows me to keep the coconut fresh for a longer period of time.I found a very easy recipe on the internet entitled "How to Substitute Unsweetened for Sweetened Coconut." If you google this, it's the first item that pops up. The recipe incorporates a simple syrup with the unsweetened coconut. I think the seller should include this in their recipe booklet.
