I'm 5'8 with a 34inch waist and 38inch Chest, average build and i ordered a 42R, length wise they are perfect, arm length is perfect as well, i do find the legs have a lot of room though, a little baggy for my liking so will be taking them in a touch, also there's a seam along the waist where you can add elastic which I plan to do as they seem to look a bit baggy and it will just tailor them in a touch, apart from that for my Halloween Costume i can work with them, I think the 40R would be too small as the torso area is a pretty nice fit, they just seem to get big on the waist and legs. Very happy though and once weathered will look great.

I bought this for a Star Wars X Wing pilot cosplay, and it worked perfectly for my needs. It's heavy duty enough that I was able to weather it a bit without actually damaging the fabric, and I easily made the structural adjustments needed with a bit of time and a seam ripper. I am 5'5 and 130 pounds and I bought the smallest size available, but still had to do some tailoring to fit it down to my size, but that was expected.

3rd time lucky. Finally found the pair that fit absolutely perfectly, making them really comfortable. Feel like good quality at a reasonable price. Anyone wondering, I'm 6ft 3" 210lbs and got 44 long/tall. If you're any heavier, go up to a 46.
