Installation was easy other than getting it set-up with the Honeywell account. I'm using it at work for a radiant tube heater. The device wasn't detected at Honeywell even though it connected to the Internet no problem. I actually left it for several months because I didn't have time to reset it to factory defaults and start over again. This is for my shop at work and the guys needed heat. So I just got around to trying again about a month ago and it is recognized now (without resetting to default). Not sure when it was recognized on my Honeywell account, might have been 2 hours later, 2 weeks later, 2 months later. Don't know because I just checked it again recently. LOL. So not sure I would hold that against them. Once it was recognized on my Honeywell account then it worked great through the app and web page; exactly as expected. Today I decided to connect it to my Amazon Alexa devices we have scattered around the office and shop. Downloaded the skill and it works great. Very simple to use. "Alexa what is the temperature in the SHOP?", "Alexa set the SHOP to 70 degrees." Works perfectly and very quickly. I like it so much that I came on here to give a review and also to buy another for the office. I read a review where someone who bought this wasn't happy with the screen. Made me take a second look at mine. It is dull when its not in use but as soon as you press the screen it brightens up. You can see this in 2 of the pictures I attached. Everything is personal preference of course and I'm not discounting what the other buyer said, but I find the screen looks great. Full disclosure, this is my first smart thermostat so I'm not comparing it to anything else.

Bought this unit for my son & daughter-in laws house. I found it easy to install. The instructions have every HVAC configuration you can think of, so this unit can be used for any situation. Mine, was a standard forced air gas furnace with A/C. We wanted the fan control so we ran a new 5 wire cable from the furnace and at the same time we relocated the thermostat to be more central in the house. That was the hard part. Once the new cable was in, it was just a matter of following the correct diagram in the instructions. Connecting both the thermostat & the furnace end of the cable took about 45 minutes. Programming and controlling it from the display is very intuitive. My son dowloaded the app and had that running in a few minutes. The last step was to setup the skill in Alexa, again supper easy & fast. Everything worked as expected. I like the display, shows indoor, setting & outdoor temperatures, as well as the current weather. It has a small footprint and the background can be changed to go with the wall colour. I would have liked to see a list of commands that you can give Alexa but other than that I liked the product. Definitely would buy this again.
