Do i need a separate resistor if they will be used elsewhere in the car? I have a lighting project i think these will be perfect for.

No the resistor is built straight onto the light itself. Just needs 12v

Will ONE incorrect installed bulb make any or all the rest not work when plugged in?

If installed correctly it will work if it doesn’t light up reverse connection all other work individually. I have mine and still work and they are bright as well

Will these also fit in the door window control buttons and steering wheel buttons on a 2005 Silverado?

No they will not I tried to put them in my climate control and it didn’t fit at all, I have a 2005 GMC Sierra
