Been using this for a couple weeks now along with the beard Wild Willie's Beard Oil. I've never used Beard Oil with the Beard Butter before, so I will only comment on the butter.Wild Willie's Beard Butter (WW) vs. Honest Amish (HA) Beard BalmTexture:WW - smooth, hardens at room temperatureHA - grainy, soft at room temperatureI prefer the texture of WW here, just personal preference.Prepping:WW & HA - spreads evenly on the hands, no issues. Rubs into the beard well. Both are equal in this regard, although I tend to the WW washes off with soap and water a little easier.Use:WW - Doesn't seem to go "as far" as HA. Seems to take more WW to get the same coverage in the beard and mustache as HA.Hold, Duration:Both seem to last most of the day, but WW has better hold than HA. It keeps the hair straighter longer.Effect length:HA - I typically would apply every 2-3 daysWW - I can apply every 2-3 days, but it will last as long as a week if I need it to.Unintended side effects:WW - none that I can tellHA - Honest Amish leaves this weird taste on my lips and it seems like no amount of trying to remove it works. I found it also made me a bit thirstier (probably from the balm getting onto my lips and into my mouth.)In a head-to-head comparison of Wild Willies and Honest Amish, I would go with Wild Willies.

Overall I'm very pleased with this product. I have quite a large beard and regularly rotate different products. This was recommended by an unaffiliated 3rd party and I must say, I'm very pleased.Scent (of the Original) is potent but not overwhelming by any means. I'm not good at describing scents so I won't waste your time with all of that. I will say it's a solid masculine smell that I found to be very appealing and, for what it's worth, my girlfriend also really liked it.The hold is fantastic. For the last year or so I've been sticking with another beard balm that was hands-down my favorite... however, it had very little hold. This product's hold is perfect. Like mentioned before, I have a fairly large beard and and need extra hold if I want it to keep its shape throughout a long day. This one does a great job without feeling too "thick" as I've noticed some beard balms over do it and end up feeling more like a wax.If you're having trouble getting the product out of the tin, treat this like you would with a wax. Use a finger nail and scrape the product out, then lather it around in your hands to "melt" it into what essentially feels like your standard oils. That way it comes right out and you can get an accurate amount every time.Last but arguably most important, I've been getting more serious about beard products lately and the BIG thing that interests me is the fact that they do not use any Chemicals, Preservatives, Fragrances, or Colorants in their products. That's awesome because the more research I did, the more I found a large majority of these companies use terrible chemicals, fragrances, etc in their products. I spend a lot of time, money, and effort on my beard so I can appreciate a company that doesn't pump a product full of that garbage. Cheers - I'll definitely be back to buy more.
