How does an in-ground pet fence actually work?

An in-ground fence uses a buried wire (up to 4,500 feet) to send a signal. Your pet's collar detects it, emitting a tone and vibration near the boundary. If they continue, a safe but startling static correction is applied, like a light static shock

How long will it take to install an in-ground pet fence?

It can take up to 2 days to properly plan and install the Stubborn Dog In-Ground Fence system. Pick a weekend with good weather and consider asking a friend for help.

How do I fit the Stubborn Dog In-Ground Fence Receiver Collar?

Proper fit is essential for the receiver collar's effectiveness and safety. If too loose, it won’t correct your dog. If too tight, it may irritate their skin. Visit our support site for more details on fitting your dog’s collar.

How do I train my dog to learn the fenced-in area?

Consistent training helps your dog learn their new boundary. This fence is recommended for dogs 6 months and older. Puppies should reliably respond to basic commands like “come” and “sit” before training with a static correction collar.
