W. W. Norton & Company Fight Club: A Novel

The book is very good, but you will find that it doesn't sync at times with the movie. All I can say is that I do find the book to be superior to the movie, except for the ending. Like most other pieces of literature by the author or similar minds, though, it is also a satire of the very thing it is attempting to dissect. And while the author would likely not agree with my assessment of the book, it is equally as informative as it is scathing, and equally as satirical as it is serious.

Cette édition en anglais de fight club, ce livre dont on connaît tous l’adaptation cinématographique, est d’une très belle qualité. La couverture avec fond noir est une protection en plastique, le livre en lui-même étant jaune uni. Le contour des pages est abîmé exprès pour coller à l’esprit brut de fight club. Attention il y a beaucoup d’argot, c’est pas facile à commrendre !

Ich hab die deutsche, und eben diese Version des Buches, und war schon nach recht kurzer zeit verwundert, wieviel Interpretation des Übersetzers in die deutsche Version geflossen ist. Die englische Story liest sich richtig smooth was man von der Übersetzung nicht durchgehend behaupten kann, ab und an werden Englische Sätze für meinen Geschmack zu sehr verfremdet, oder eben anders interpretiert. Natürlich liest es sich trotzdem leichter wenn man die deutsche Fassung schon mal in der Hand hatte, denn das Englischniveau schwankt von leicht bis sehr fortgeschritten, vorallem wenn die Bruchbude in der die Hauptfigur lebt, die Chemischen Zusammensetzungen, oder eben der Abgang von Cloe beschrieben wird. Also ein Wörterbuch bereit halten! Die Story ist einfach der absolute Wahnsinn und das Original topt für meinen Geschmack bei weitem die Übersetzung. Einziges Manko, das Papier auf dem die Wertvollen Zeilen gedruckt sind. Absolute Kaufempfehlung!!
