ACCURA (Vertex) coolant pump system for lathes/mills

This pump system was easy to set up and came with everything I needed except for coolant. The pump moves way more coolant than a drill press needs, so I throttled it with the valve that comes with it. I have been drilling 1/2" holes through 15/16" 304SS rods. This is MUCH better than constantly dousing it with cutting oil.

This item does what its supposed to do. However, a few small improvements would make it a better product.1. the flow control valve is impressive. I am replacing mine.2. It needs a check valve by the pump, especially if the unit is on the floor. All of the fluid drains back whenever the pump is off for a bit and then comes gushing out until the flow stabilizes.#. A dipstick or site gauge in the tank would be helpfulOtherwise, I'm happy.

It was almost a perfect replacement for my worn out setup on my Enco horizontal bandsaw. Plastic tank was too tall. Fortunately I was able to remove the pump and install it in the old tank. Works great.

So far so good. It works very with a small cnc mill I have cutting aluminum. The in line flow control valve is not very good though - I think it will need to be replaced.

A great and inexpensive way to get coolant onto a dry machine. The kit came with everything needed to bolt it on and go. Works very well with plenty of pressure.

Saves me a lot of time by letting me step away from the mill/lathe to work on another lathe or mill. Thank you!
