Surprisingly good, even compared to much more expensive models
I got this case to replace a KVAGO gold aluminum Folio Shell case that I've been using for my iPad Air 2. I liked the KVAGO ok, but it was too limiting in actual use - almost impossible to swipe the control center up from the bottom, not enough hinge motion, completely useless right shift key, etc. I really wanted it to work, but in the end, it just didn't.The Cazbi was the only other keyboard/case combo out there that seemed to combine a bit of quality with a very flexible (usage-wise) case, and a backlit keyboard. I've used it about 6 hours a day for a couple days now and I have to say it's a very very good case. The magnets that hold the keyboard to the rest of the case are very strong and functional, as is the magnet that holds the case in its open position for use (the one in the primary product picture).Pairing was painless, the backlighting is very functional, with the lowest of the 3 levels being perfect for using it in the dark, which I frequently do. Key placement is about as perfect as I can imagine for a keyboard with the same form factor as the Air 2 - 'nuff said. Another thing I like: Even though the keys aren't recessed relative to the edges of the keyboard's edges, they don't touch the screen like the do on Kvago when you close the case. I've also had 3 or 4 other cases for previous iPads, none of which were as functional overall as the Cazbi. This is not a "luxury" case, but it's quite stylish in a modern way, so it looks like it's intended to look. I prefer more traditional looks, myself, but I knew what it looked like before I bought it, so no stars can be taken away for that...Protection seems very adequate for what this case is designed to do, primarily because, once shut, it stays shut, courtesy of the strong magnets. All in all, I'd call this case/keyboard combo an excellent value and a very functional add-on.I'm still in the market for a real leather case with a backlit keyboard (like the one with this Cazbi would be fine) that allows landscape and portrait viewing orientations, has the classic looks of my 50's and 60's full grain leather briefcases, has good magnets to hold it closed and actuate the on/off functionality, etc. But until then, this is just the thing, so far...

Backlit keys, and a great look make this an awesome choice.
The Cazbi combo case turns the iPad Air2 into a laptop more or less. Because it also works as a stand when you flip the keyboard behind the iPad it is great for watching videos. The chicklet keys have enough travel to feel solid, and I found that I could type as fast on this as I could my desktop keyboard. It's not as ergonomic as some desktop keyboard, but if it were you couldn't take it with you. An unexpected feature was that the keyboard is backlit. The backlighting makes this infinitely more useable on a red-eye flight when the cabin is dark. The carbon pattern finish gives the case a cool and unique look. It's not quite carbon-fiber but it definitely invokes that look without being over the top. This Folio Case gives me a lot of extra functionality without adding much bulk to the iPad.While not a "feature" of this case, my girlfriend found that by pairing with her iphone she could set the iphone in the groove and do emails that way. This was great for her to get through a stack of emails quickly when we were traveling to Chicago and ended up on a layover with a dead laptop battery. Now she routinely pairs her phone with my keyboard case when she doesn't want to have to deal with autocorrect.

It's a shame because I like the keys
This is my second Cazbi keyboard and after a few charges the battery simply refuses to charge up. My guess is that they are not using quality batteries. It's a shame because I like the keys, the look, and the backlighting, however I just threw the second one in the trash and I will not buy this product again.

Disappointed - No portrait mode
I purchased this keyboard case based on the reviews, the fact that the keys are backlit and an answer that this case can be used in portrait mode. I gave it three stars for the backlit keys and the looks/design.Unfortunately, the funtionality does not work for me. I don't always use my iPad case on a table of desk. I mainly used it while sitting on the sofa/couch and on my lap. I cannot do that with this case. The part that connects to the back of the case is not rigid enough to hold up the weight of the iPad in this position. It always falls over.As for the keyboard, it is too narrow for me and the keys are much smaller than my current keyboard case. I have small hands and have a difficulty in typing.I own a Sharkk case that has a rigid slide-out base that you can set the iPad case section in for the angle and is rotate between between portrait and landscape modes while being able to use the keyboard. I like the case, except that there is no backlight for the keys. This is why I chose to try the Cazbi case.I should clarify my post title regarding no portrait mode. If you remove the keyboard from the case and flip the cover behind the case, you can hold your iPad in portrait mode. However, you cannot use the case connected, magnetically, to the keyboard and use your iPad like a laptop. I could not figure out a way to prop the iPad up in portrait mode and use the keyboard. This and most reviews are relative to an individual's personal use. To some, they don't use the case like I do so, so what I posted does not apply. To those individuals, this case is fine. If you use your iPad like I do, this may not be the keyboard case for you.I am returning mine for a refund.
