Missing parts, but I figured it out.

We needed more hot-cold control and our previous mixer did not do this very well. We paid a plumber to install the mixer and the required valve (sold separately). Only when we tried it for the first time did we discover there was no flow control. And while the strong flow was nice it was wasting water. A simple flow control valve purchased (see my photo) here for $9.99 that attaches to the hose on the hand held shower solved the problem. And the mixer is perfect and effective. And really handsome.

PURCHASE DATE: March 25, 2022I have Moen Align sleek and minimalistic fixtures through the house.Disappointed with this shower valve we had recently installed.Have to install 2, didn’t purchase the 2nd one because of this issue. Waiting for Moen decent response.So after installed following directions, look at the picture: this is how it looks, 3/4 inch AWAY FROM WALL.That’s not the neat flush trim I paid more to get.I could’ve purchased a cheap Chinese valve alternative right here and gotten a neat finished trim for less than 1/2 the money.I did my homework.BEFORE PURCHASING: Called Moen several times. I waited a minimum of 40 mins on the phone each time (during my work hours!), other calls I just gave up. No call back option. No customer care whatsoever.If you have a 10 yr old Kholer issue, they answer immediately and provide free new replacement part. Just pointing out customer care differences...When I finally did get through the line they provided WRONG information and directed me to the wrong, incompatible trims. Straight from Moen’s customer service!Glad I triple checked and purchased the right trim type.Then hired plumber instead of doing it myself, to get this?!?!?DURING INSTALLATION: With that bad result on the Moen phone number, I asked here. Moen answered to my questions in Amazon several days later, the 2 times with the same copy/paste answer, “So sorry, please call our customer service number”... right, where they’ll keep you waiting 1 hr and give you wrong info.They didn’t offer to pay for the plumber extra time, or compensation for the horrible result.AFTER INSTALLATION: Not happy with what’s billed as an established, reputable fixture brand.Since I will have to install other valves in the house, I may as well switch valve brands (unless I get a good answer from them on how to resolve this)Delta, a humbler brand, has a decent trim similar to this that I can use with peace of mind that will look the way it is advertised, for a lot less.***For now I do not recommend Moen anymore.***Will update this review if they provide some helpful response.

After cutting a big hole in my 1957 bathroom shower wall I wanted to replace the old diverter with a valve that I would not have to pull out for another 57 years. I also needed it to fit in a relatively small space (for soldering). I looked at many other brands and Moen has what I consider the best valve replacement technology on the market. Do the research and you will see what I mean. After doing this we needed to select a proper trim package to cover up the remaining 4 1/2 inch hole that the valve required.So technically the Posi-Temp system is a great foundation to build your shower's water delivery system on. The valve is designed to maintain a temperature of +- 3 degrees under normal household water usage (and if your water heater is working). It exceeded my expectation in this area. The trim package was the last step and we wanted something that was good looking and functional. the T2191 is exceptionally attractive and sturdy. It does not feel like it will fall apart in a few years.Everything I needed to install the trim package was in the box and it fit very well. So, if you already have a posi-temp valve installed or you are doing renovations and you put in a Moen posi-temp valve this is a great finish to the installation/

The valve finish and fit are good quality.

DISAPPOINTING. The handle itself is very nice and looks good but for $80, you would think that the necessary tools would have been included. The instructions show 2 different allen wrenches; neither of which were in the box. No, they were not lodged in some cardboard fold within the packaging. I could not find my own correctly-sized allen wrench to tighten the handle so I had to purchase the correct size. Why are the tools included in cheaper units but not in this overpriced one? If the tools were supposed to have been in the box and are usually shipped with this handle, then the fault is with final quality control.Another thing that bothers me - the handle adapter, that part that connects the handle to the valve is made of ABS plastic and not metal. I am replacing this valve cover because the one I had before this one was also made of the same material and it cracked, making turning the handle useless. For $80, that part should be metal so it never wears out.Again, I like the looks of the handle itself. It appears to be high quality. I cannot say the same for the rest of the package - or what's not included.

the handle was very beautiful it was more of a darker bras but it was still so cute!

Not brassy looking or true gold...it's a dark gold and doesn't do well with handling it...finger prints etc.

Bloody Moen with bloody Moen cartridges. It's all started with the fact that you cannot put diverters from other manufacturers on the Moen cartridge so I had to buy Moen again. Isn't that what you wanted suckers? What the hell? Can't you guys agree on one standard like cell phone makers did with micro USB? Then bloody diverter handle didn't fit to the plastic regulator that sits underneath (see photo). Why? Because bloody whole dont line up. The bloody plastic thing sits too deep, so when you put the metal thing on it cannot go as deep. As the result, the screw cannot get in. I bloody had to reinvent the wheel to squeeze the screw in. Put the plumbers putty first 'cause dind't have anything else. Went to home depot to buy a few washers and they were too big on the outside and had to be bloody shaved to get in. The inner radius bloody too small to accomodate the screw. The screw of course felt into the bath drain after my 100 attempts to put the handle on. Thanks to the haven i was able to extract the screw from the drain. Not saying that i spent tons of time farting around to put the screw in without any washers and such. Still reinventing the wheel thinking how to install this crap and my shwer cannot operate normally. Will try another cet of washers. Bloody Moen you are so innovative to have your own cartridge. Why the hell you cannot manufacture bloody innovative pieces with the right measurments that will fit together?

I received the product in an unsealed box. I’m unable to confirm that I have all the pieces… I’d expect more care in the handling of this expensive product. How about some tape on the box?!

Beautiful! Sleek design and top rated product - doesn't get much better. Unfortunately, my husband had to buy a certain part that is not included with this set - but that it our fault for not reading the product description properly! So just be aware this is not the whole kit you need if you are putting in a brand new shower.

Beautiful design and easy to install on an existing Moen posi-temp valve. The vendor offered a good price and it was delivered very quickly and well packed.Quick tip - if you're changing your shower trim, you might as well change the valve cartridge (they need to be changed every 10 years or so).
