Kanu Surf Women's Breeze Solid Stretch Boardshort

These shorts are cut in a square, and I felt like I was putting on Sponge Bob Square Pants' shorts. If you have no curves, you'll probably be fine. For those of us with curves and a smaller waist, expect an ill fitting short with a lot of gap in the back of the waist. The picture is deceiving and looks as if the waistband comes in a bit at the waist...it does not. I am 5'9", 130 lb, slim build, not overly hippy, but I do have hips and a hiney (we are women after all) and a smaller waist. I do not understand why these shorts are cut this way. They are literally a square. Apparently the maker of these shorts has never seen women before. Back they go.

Very cute and excellent quality. I ordered a size up to be safe and glad I did. I normally am a Med but large is perfect. I'm 5'8 165lb curvy structure. They are not to short and were perfect as swim trunks, for those of us who do not feel comfortable with standard swim "panties" that come with swimsuits! I purchaced 2 if these (black & grey) & love both. They have help up to many washings and lots of salt water!

Nice shorts, look and feel good, would say they run a little small; these type of shorts usually do run small. For reference I am 5'10, 135lbs and my waist is about 29'' around, and I normally wear a size 4-8 depending on the brand. I bought a 4 and they were too small so I returned them for a size 6, the 6 is snug but ok, 8 would probably be best but I'm going to keep the 6.

I bought these shorts in the same size in 2 different colors. One pair of shorts (navy) was significantly smaller than the other pair (see photo)

These are nice board shorts of a thin, comfortable material. They do not have a liner (which is stated in the description) which can be a pro or a con depending on your preference. I like the length and find it to be modest but not too restricting. I am 5'5", about 140 lbs, and bought the gray ones in an 8, which fit nicely. So I bought the pink ones in an 8 and they were too big. Wound up keeping size 8 for gray and size 6 for pink. Some elastic in the waist, and an option to have a liner or not, would make these even better, but they are nice and reasonably priced.

Exactly what I was looking for! For some unknown reason, practically all the other brands of board shorts are in juniors sizes, and/or run REALLY small. I usually wear a 14 and I was going to buy the older, non-stretch version of these Kanu Surf boardshorts, but I was worried they wouldn't fit because of the sizing issue. But then these miraculous shorts appeared. The fabric is thinner and a tiny bit clingier than I expected, but very soft and stretchy and comfortable. The length is perfect, the pockets are functional and close with velcro, and the color is very pretty. They do have the velcro/lace fly closure, which I don't love, but that's pretty standard for boardshorts. These are definitely a winner!

These are so cute, I’m ordering more! Super flattering, super lightweight, way super awesome shorts...the only thing is, I’m 5’5 145 lbs and carry a lot of junk in my trunk so the 12 fits great through bottom and thighs which is where I carry my weight which left the waist pretty loose and although it has a drawstring, it doesn’t go around the waist so if you prefer more fitted I the waist keep this in mind. For me,it’s not an issue because I despise anything tight around my waist and ain’t just wear a longer tank top or tshirt with them. The length is great too-a 3 1/2” inseam which isn’t so short my booty shows but not so long that I look like I’m wearing my grandmother’s shorts. But yep! I love these! Washed up beautifully too!

These are FANTASTIC! VERY comfortable, perfect stretch when sitting down, perfect length. I would like in every color. 5'2", 147# and I ordered a size 10. Will wear with a swim top and tee shirts. Absolutely LOVE!

Fit as I expected them too, maybe a bit big, but I also sized up one size from my normal (normally sz 8, went to size 10 from reading reviews) Fairly close to being a high rise short (I have a long torso). Will be great for the beach. The stretch is also nice. I did have to synch them right up as tight as the string could go, but I am not sure if a size down would have fit as well as I like. So I’ll say these are true to size Or maybe a smidge smaller than true to size... which is reason I sized up one. There is no liner but I don’t need it as I wear regular bikini bottoms under it.

I'm a regular size 6 in most clothing.I ordered two pairs of these shorts in size 6, the blue ones and the black ones.The black shorts fit perfect in the waist and hips.The blue shorts were slightly big in the hips and very big in the waist.You would think these shorts would fit identical but they don't.The drawstring is just in the front, it does not go all way around so you can't pull the waist tighter.I'm returning the blue shorts and keeping the black ones. The material is on the thin side, good for swimming.Hope this helps someone, its a gamble to pick the right size and there's no size chart except for plus sizes.My waist is 30 inches and my hips are 33 inches, the biggest part of my butt is 36 inches around.

I was tempted to keep these shorts because they were cute and the material would have been nice and light for the hot weather. BUT, my butt is too big for them and it fit quite snug over my rear making the front closing a little too risky for my liking. The length was a little higher than mid thigh. I could have gone up a size and reordered, unfortunately I'm leaving for my trip before they'd arrive. I'd say if you got a big bum order 1 size up and then you won't be risking exposure.

Cons: I'm usually a size medium (size 8 or 10), but because of the reviews here, I purchased a size 12.The shorts fit very large and barely stay on my waist. I have to slouch them down on my hips and they still don't fit well, (and I have large hips). While I cannot say that a size 10 would fit better and not be too snug (I like to wear these loose), the waist is just too large and the drawstring doesn't help. The shorts are very square, wish the waist was more tapered so wearing them lower on my hips didn't gap.They have small velcro pouch pockets. Wish they had real pockets, just because I love that look.Pros: The material is nice and thin and has a nice stretch. The faux drawstring lace is good quality.Overall a good short. I decided to keep because of the colour and quality, rather than the fit -- which is rare.Hopefully I actually wear them now!

The reviews on here are garbage. These shorts fit very very tight and do not have any stretch to them whatsoever.I am a 12-13 in regular sizing, and after reading the reviews I went to a 14 thinking they would be spacious and stretchy. THEY ARE NOT! Go 2 sizes up at least If you like the circulation in your legs.
