Ha! My own personal toilet seat in the middle of the forest. I absolutely HATE squatting to go, so this thing is incredible lol. It fits securely on a 5-gallon bucket, feels surprisingly sturdy when sitting on it, and the lid closes securely when you’re done. No issues with leaking or anything shifting around while using it. Match it with a makeshift footrest and suddenly you’re basically living in luxury. Super simple, versatile, and absolutely worth the money. Who said backpacking couldn’t have a throne?

I have used this in my camper, and car. It is very sturdy, convenient and easy to use. Cleans easily, comfortable. I find that it can be used as storage when not in use. It becomes a little difficult to remove from the bucket if you press it down too tightly, but overall a very good product.

This is very difficult to fit on the 5-gallon bucket. After a few days, it cracked when I shifted my weight a little (129 lbs). I used black duct tape to cover the crack so we wouldn't get pinched. I ended up putting the plastic bag OVER the seat, to avoid struggling to put the seat back on every time I changed out the bag. This makes it necessary to change the bag more often, because if it's too full, it will be difficult to remove it through the smaller space the seat creates. Update: I bumped this up from 3 to 4 stars... The company offered me a full refund. I chose not to take the refund because, in spite of the glitches I ran into, I feel that the seat is working out okay for us. I think it was worth the money I paid. I also want to add: I use 2 bags OVER the seat, one inside the other, mainly to prevent possible tears when removing the bags through the toilet seat opening. Then I reuse the outer bag for the next time, with another inside it. And instead of tying the bag onto the seat, I use some 7" long elastic file bands to secure it. They stretch well enough to put on and take off easily. I also cover deposits in the bag with cedar shavings each time, to mitigate odors.

Just returned from a camping trip and this toilet seat worked great. It snaps onto any 5 gallon bucket and the seat itself is comfortable. The lid snaps down when lowered and takes a bit of a tug to unsnap; a child may need assistance lifting the lid.

It is a bit flimsy and not as comfortable as the dunnyseat brand. But the bucket handle does fold up over the seat, and the Dunny's handle doesn't. It works well, but I wouldn't recommend it to a friend, so three stars.

I use this on a 5 gallon bucket with size 13 garbage bags. It fits perfectly on it and keeps the flies (and smells contained). We pick up dog poop in the backyard. The lid snaps on it perfect and the potty lid is easy to lift without touching anything when using a pooper scooper. Highly recommend.

Read reviews of this product and was concerned that it would not fit properly on the orange 5 gallon Home Depot bucket/pail, but it fits like a glove and I'm very happy with the product. Make sure to get the Home Depot bucket!!! Spent $52 at Canadian Tire for the Hassock Portable Toilet and will be returning it because the Snap On toilet seat functions just as well as the Hassock. It actually sits higher with the bucket than the Hassock, which makes it comfortable, and it costs way less. The Hassock has a toilet roll holder and is more for keeping indoors, but the Snap On is more portable and is easier to carry than the Hassock, which is bulkier. You can hold the handle of the bucket with the toilet seat attached, but you cannot with the Hassock unless you take the bucket out of the housing. But even then, the seat is not attached to bucket and can fall off while you are walking with it. I like the Snap On toilet seat because my sole purpose is to carry it in my vehicle in case of emergency. Any regular sized plastic shopping bag will fit over the toilet seat and bucket and you can dispose of the contents easily without even cleaning the toilet seat and bucket, unless there's a hole or rip in the bag. I recommend putting the plastic bag over the toilet seat because when you snap the seat on or off, you risk breaking off the plastic clips that hold the seat firmly to the bucket. If you are keeping it indoors, just put kitty litter and maybe something else to mask the odour and close the lid, just be careful not to knock the bucket over. In short, I am very happy with this product and am thinking of getting another one. Delivery was quick too!!!

It a very durable seat. The only thing is, it doesn’t fit just any 5 gallon pail. I tried fitting it on a Canadian tire pail but it wouldn’t attach to it. It did fit on brand less 5 gallon pail I had in the garage very well. I’d suggest you buy the seat and pail hunt with the seat until you find one that it fits lol. Over all, it’s a very good seat and I’d buy it again if I had too.

Disclosure: I did not use the product; it remains unopened, and has been returned to the reseller for a refund. The description sounded promising. The reviews (some of them) sounded promising. The reality was a wee bit different. - Build quality is seriously suspect. The plastic is NOT sturdy, even through the clear packaging. - Size... I know what a 5 gallon pail is. I know how large the opening is. BUT (pun intended) the hole for your butt is small. It will work for my 6 year old! Both my wife and I have, what we will call, normal sized butts. There is not a shot in h3ll we would be able to seat our collective derrieres properly for a #2 on this thing. Sorry!
