Packets are premeasured easy to use.
My husband has a feeding tube, due to trouble swallowing. He can now start to drink liquids. the liquids have to be thickened. This does the trick. You use one or two packets depending on how much liquid and it will thicken it for consumption. Works great will order again update I have been purchasing this thickener for a while now it works great

Thickens liquid
Thickens hot or cold liquid. Mixes easily more so in hot liquids. Easy to use. The thickener does not affect the taste.

Ok but can improve.
This product does kind of work but it can be annoying. I have dysphagia so I need a thickener for my liquids. This product will thicken liquids especially room temperature liquids. The problem is the powder doesn't completely dissolve even after stirring for over a minute. Because of this, sometimes the liquid is gritty after using this product. Also some of the product settles to the bottom of the glass and you end up with pudding (I need nectar thick). I give Thick-it 3 stars because the powder does not completly dissolves.
