Great Performance and Value
Bought this and the matching rod and couldn't be happier. So far, I've taken it out on a half dozen or so times and am thrilled by the performance. Loaded with 50 lb braid, it casts a country mile and haven't yet had a single backlash. So happy with this one that I plan to replace my Garcia 6500 with one of these.*Update - reeled in my first big fish, 29 lb. blue catfish. Flawless!

Quality and reliable reel for the price
I’ve been using and abusing these reels for 2 years now on a bunch of different style rod combos. They still perform great even after being thrown around the boat and muddy banks. They’ve been tested on multiple 50lb flatheads and no complaints here.

Do not buy!
The reel I received was junk out of the box. I had to pay shipping to return it. Gears were junk from factory. Got my replacement reel,I really wanted to like this reel, but the company claims it will handle a catfish up to 100 pounds! Yet it struggled big time with a 10 pound flathead. The owner of catfish pro Mike Baker didn't want to help me with a refund. Only wanted to insult me saying I didn't know how to use a baitcaster. SO HERE'S YOUR REVIEW MIKE BAKER! catfish pro tells suck! Do not waste your hard earned money on them and just spend the money on a abu garcia c3 7000 and be done with it.

LOOKS GREAT!! LOUD BAIT CLICKER!!
GREAT LOOKING!!!!! I haven’t used these yet but I do have a little concern. I have several Abu Garcia ambassador reels that I use for BIG catfish... these reels are a little smaller than I hoped and much smaller than the “Garcia’s” . I’m a little concerned with them holding up with BIG fish. 40+ pounds are common on my boat and fish of this size can tear up a reel... these have a little “sloppyness” in the “level line” or “dog” and a slight “grind” when reeling in.... no way near as smooth as a “Garcia “ but for the price may be the PERFECT reel!!! Time will tell.. for the “average catfish “ and for someone that wants to hear the Magical noise of a catfish taking off with your bait, These are perfect!!! Loud bait clicker!!!!!!!
