Amazing work
Bought this in 2022 along with a 2 sided 3x5 flag that was decently thick. Both were able to withstand at least 100mph on the highway. Recommend drilling a hole through the pole and use a bolt to hold in place on the receiver. Plastic clips held up until 2025 when they finally broke on the pole.

Excellent customer service
This has got to be the best thing I’ve ever ordered off of here. I got these poles so that I could fly some Trump/American flags out the back of my truck. I got some metal hooks and they held really well and never broke even when driving on the tollway at 80mph with the flags flying. The only thing that happened is that I was pulling into my driveway and I forgot that these things are super tall at 6 feet poles on the back of a Silverado with a 6 inch lift and 35” tires, so I accidentally hit the basketball goal that was weighted down by sand... and I dang near took the thing with me. The poles got a little bent, so I emailed the seller(the best customer service I have EVER experienced) and after I sent them a picture of what happened, they sent me a couple of replacement sections for the part that bent completely hassle free. P.S. Just buy the 7 foot pole. These things come in foot long sections that screw into each other so if you buy the 7 foot pole, you can just make it into a 5 foot or whatever else you want and still have some extra sections in case something happens to one of them.

Really Good Pole, Spinners NOT so good
I bought this item really only for the pole. It is thicker than others (.5mm vs. .45mm) and the other specs. matched my needs. I measured the thickness of the steel and it is indeed .5mm. The pole is sturdy and will support my flags even in strong winds. I did make one modification to the pole that you might want to consider--I cut a length of wooden pole to fit inside this steel pole and long enough to provide support for this steel pole in a 45° wall hanger. This way, it allows you to tighten the screw in the holder and not risk damaging the pole. It also provide additional strength to avoid damage in high winds. (See the pictures) The spinners are much like other plastic ones that I've tried and they ALL fail to work well as the flag keeps wrapping around the pole. After some experience, I would recommend looking for spinners that have stainless steel ball bearings. They cost considerably more but FINALLY, you won't have to fix the flag again and again, maybe even ever. Once I got this full setup, I haven't had to do anything to the flag whatsoever.

Worth the money but know this is 5 pieces verse one.
Initially, when I got my box I was disappointed as the photos I viewed during browsing gave me the impression this pole was a solid piece of metal vs. five sections. The posting did include a video which shows it is sectional, however, I missed that. Saying all that.... The sections screw together smoothly, get nice and tight and the pole is in fact very sturdy. .5mm is the thickness of the walls and it has a 1" diameter to it. (.5mm may not sound thick, but I assure you this is a nice thickness and seems very strong.) The ball on the top is plastic vs metal. The design of the two plastic clips allows the flag to spin completely around as to ensure the flag does not simply roll up in the wind. They may also be loosened and slid up and down to adjust for your flag. I personally only needed one for my particular flag and have the other in a draw in the event I would need it for a different flag later. This has only been used a little so far but we have had several storms since in which it help up with no efforts, kept my flag from becoming rolled up and has not shown any signs of weakness. Things I question with long term use is if the ball on the top end will begin to weather-chip or look bag over time and if the sections will loosen over time or cause weakness to the overall strength during high winds and bad weather. Should any of these things happen, I will update this review accordingly.

Nice looking 👀
It’s great, it comes in sections, but EZ to put together by just twisting them into each other. Its lighter than a wooden poles. I say that bbc depends on where your flags is going you might have to left it into the Bracket while on a ladder. 😂

Why 3 stars?
Well because each one was different. The pole is the same, the top ball is the same however the clips were different for several of them, in others they had thumb screws to lock the slider in place, others have screws you need a driver to use. Honestly it's a little off putting like the clips. I bought 4 over all between a couple of orders and 2 of them have these nice sturdy clips. They are thicker, longer and just over all feel stronger. The other 2 have these much smaller and weaker clips that are the type that will rust inside of 6 months if left in any kind of poor weather. 2 poles have thumbs screws that make it really easy to secure the sliders so the flag flies properly. 2 others have screws you need a screw driver to use. making it a LOT more inconvenient. So yea, over all I felt I got 2 worth the price easy and 2 of lower quality that aren't quite up to snuff in my eyes when I can compare them to the other 2. In the end though the poles themselves are easy to put together, they stay together and I've been using them on my Truck to fly Biden flags and they have held up to 50+ MPH speeds with zero issue. ( I changed the weaker clips on the 2 I mentioned ) So over all I guess it's okay? I just don't like the crap shoot on quality.

Unreliable Junk.
We put this on the back of Our Pickup Truck. We drove wooden Dowels through the hollow shaft in order to re-enforce the pole itself. It lasted less than a month before it snapped-off at the base of the flagpole holder on the highway like it had been cut with a saw. We don't go over 70 on the open highway, We rarely go above 65, and to date this was only the 3rd trip on the highway, so We cannot in good conscience recommend this pole as even reenforced with hardwood it was unable to withstand winds over 65mph, the metal completely disintegrated.

Quality product, great follow-up service
Flag pole is nicely lightweight but solidly constructed and sectional allowing height to be varied. Follow-up customer service is excellent. Highly recommend.

Built like a tank.
UPDATE: To really minimize the flag wrapping around the pole I recommend the following: 1. Adjust the mounting rings so they aren’t too tight, or too loose. Too tight and it creates tension and the ring won’t spin freely. Too loose and the clasp you attach the flag to can snag on the tightening bolt. 2. Make sure the handles on the tightening bolts of each ring are perpendicular to the flagpole. If they are parallel to the flagpole, the end of the clasp might snag on them. 3. Every one in a while, spray the ring with some WD40 to clean out the dirt that can accumulate and prevent the ring from spinning and add a bit of lubrication to the mechanism. I live in a windy area and I've gone through quite a few of spinning flagpoles that are available in nearly every Canadian box box hardware store. The plastic mechanism that allows the pole to spin always ended up snapping or the cheap plastic "flag pole rings" would break. My flag would routinely get wrapped around the pole regardless of the spinning function, so I decided to give this product a try. It's very sturdy. I had the remains of its predecessor or on hand and compared to the new, stainless steel pole, it felt really flimsy. I initially had problems with the flag wrapping around the pole. The trick was to adjust the flag rings so that the flag would hang a bit more loosely. Too much tension, and the rings won't spin as freely. The flag rings themselves are sturdy looking plastic, and the screws that secure them to the pole are metal. You attach the flag via metal carabiners that seem to be of good quality. With the flagpoles I purchased before, the bottom flag ring was entirely plastic and the top one was mostly plastic although the attachment clip was metal. I found that it was prone to rusting and staining the flag. All metal flag rings would be ideal, but this would drive up the cost of the product obviously as a quality set of metal rings goes for more than the cost of this flag pole.
